Mary "Polly" CAWTHON and Jackson M. WALTERS were married on 12 February 1828 in Franklin County, Georgia.¹⁹ Jackson M. WALTERS^15,80,208, son of Elijah WALTERS and Judith CAWTHON, was born on 18 February 1807 in Franklin County, Georgia.¹⁹

Jackson married Polly Cawthon on 12 Feb 1828. They were 1st cousins once removed - her great grandparents were Robert Walters & Joannah McBee who were also the grandparents of Jackson M. Walters. They are in Franklin Co in the 1850 Census. He was 43; she was 40. Children: Martha 21, Mary 19, Rhoda 17, Emily 15, William 13, Robert 11, Orville 9, Judah 7, and Louisa 5. Anna Walters, age 50 lived in the next household. Perhaps Jackson's sister Anna had never married.
