294. Rufus King WALTERS was born on 2 August 1813.²⁰⁵ He died on 9 January 1890 at the age of 76.²⁰⁵

Rufus K. Walters married Rody Cawthon on 31 Jan 1839. Rufus and Rhoda were 2nd cousins; they were both great grandchildren of Robert Walters & Joannah McBee.

Rufus King WALTERS and Rhoda CAWTHON were married on 31 January 1839.²⁰⁵ Rhoda CAWTHON, daughter of William CAWTHON and Rhoda WALTERS, was born on 7 August 1815.¹⁹⁷ She died before 1880 at the age of 65.¹⁹⁷

Although the Walters book gave Rhoda a death date of 19 Jan 1899 - I believe that to be very wrong. She was not with Rufus in 1880 - he was living with their son George and had a much younger wife named Ellen and stepchildren with the surname Ford. I believe she died before 1880 and Rufus King Walters remarried.
