Frederick, Benedict, Jacob & John (Johannes) were brothers. Their parents were Jacob BUTTIKOFER (March 30, 1783 - March 3, 1857) & Maria KUNZ (Sept. 8, 1874 - abt 1842). Frederick (b. Jan. 16, 1826) married Barbara ? (b. abt 1830 in Germany). Benedict (b. Nov. 16, 1823 in Germany) married Barbara ? (b. abt 1829 in Ohio). Jacob (b. abt 1807 in Germany - d. aft 1875 in Ohio) married Mary FRANK (b. abt 1811in Germany - d. Aug. 24, 1874 in Crawford Co., Ohio). Johannes (John) (Sept. 12, 1802 - Jan. 17, 1892 in Crawford Co., Ohio) married Anna Maria BLOESCH (1802 in Muren - Nov. 6, 1802 in Crawford Co. Ohio). Found on the page with Frederick & Benedict, was the family of John G. Klink. Mary Ann KLINK (Feb. 19, 1843 in Pittsburg, Pa. - Mar. 4, 1903 in Henry Co., Ohio) married Jacob J. As you can see from the above, these four BITTIKOFER sons, Daniel, Frederick, John & Jacob, lived very close together. The George KLINK (b. abt 1828) family lived between them. George was a son of the John G. KLINK, whose family appears in the 1850 Census records above. Mary Ann KLINK, who was a sister to George, married Jacob J. BITTIKOFER, is not listed with her family. They were married November 4, 1860. |
