Very nice site I must say! I am not a Leininger descendant, but a Binder/Bender. Anna Maria "Mary" Bender was my 3rd great-grand Aunt. So, I collect info on all collaterals. I have an obit for you, don't know the paper it came from. It is for John Jr., Mary's son (I have that he died the 10th). Gertrude is Katie's daughter, I have them as Funkhauser. Both she and her daughter were listed on the census for 1930 as living with him.

John Leininger

John Leininger jr., age 87 years last January, passed away in his home east of Archbold early Sunday morning. He had been an invalid eleven years. His daughter Mrs. Katie Fankhauser (7/3) and daughter Gertrude have been in his home during this time caring for him. The funeral services
were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, in the Lutheran church in Burlington, conducted
by the pastor, Rev. R. 0. Trautman. Interment in church cemetery, east of Archbold.
He leaves seven daughters, two sons, 33 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, two great-
grandchildren, sister Mrs. John Harmon of Ft. Wayne and 4 brothers, Mr. Henry Leininger, Mr. Simon Leininger, Mr. Sol. Leininger of Wauseon, and Mr. Geo. Leininger of Chicago
