News article from about 1907-1909:
Lewis Hinkle
Accepts Position with H.D.Pegg, Our New Merchant
H.D. Pegg, of Morenci, has purchased the store and stock formerly owned by Mr. Stevens and Mr. Warner, and last Monday began business. Mr. Pegg has employed Louis Hinkle to manage the store for him. Mr Hinkle was formerly in the employ of Mr. Pegg at Lyons, having been with him there for 18 months. For the past two and one-half years, he has been employed by R.A.Smith in his drug store and grocery store.

Mr Pegg expects to conduct a general store, and is retaining the former clerk, Miss Champion. Mr Hinkle is a steady, energetic young man, who thoroughly understands how to conduct a general store. Mr Pegg could not well have made a better selection than to employ Mr Hinkle as manager, and Miss Champion as saleslady. The former with his gentlemanly ways, and the latter with her ladylike manner, assures the patrons prompt, courteous and fair treatment.
