I believe William Gostwick was the son of John and Letitia? Sabrina? Gostwick ( The writing on the  entry in the Stoke Bruerne parish register was VERY difficult to read!) as this couple and their baptised children were the first Gostwicks I found mentioned in the records before the marriage of William. Furthermore, you will note that William gave his children the identical names of his supposed siblings, as well as naming his first son 'John'.
