LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF TURNER W. GOSWICK
JANUARY 31,1856 PHILLIPS COUNTY ARKANSAS
I Turner W. Goswick of the County of Phillips and State of Arkansas
make and declare this my last will and testament. FIRST: I desire that
all my full debts be paid as early as conviently may be. SECONDLY; I give
my beloved wife CATHERINE M during her natural life all my Estate of whatever
description with full power and authority to sell and dispose of any part
of it, which it may be necessary to sell it for the payments of my
Debts, or the promotion of her own comfort in living. THIRDLY: Upon condition
that my adopted child NANCY SOPHIA GRIMMETT shall be permitted to continue
to live with my wife until her arrival to the age of Eighteen years or
her marriage. I give in that case to my friend JESSE A.JACKSON of
Helena, in Trust for said Nancy Sophia all the residue of my Estate which
may remain after the death of my wife, and in case said NANCY SOPHIA should
die childless, I then give all the Estate herein to my NIECE WHOSE NAME
I CANNOT REMEMBER, BUT THE DAUGHTER OF JASON GOSWICK OF FRANKLIN CO.NORTH
CAROLINA AND WHICH NIECE HAS BUT ONE HAND.
