MilitaryEnoch served in Company C (Captain James Watts' Company) of the 10th Battalion of the Georgia Cavalry (State Troops). This company referred to themselves as "The Bartow Raid Repellers". Enoch enlisted for six months on July 4, 1863 in Cartersville, Georgia. This unit was assigned to local defense and to serve in the part of Georgia between the Tennessee line and the Chattahoochee River.9
