Notes
The only Gregory in Caldwell County in 1820 was Samuel Gregory in Darnell's Parish, but his enumeration doesn't have a male of the right age to be Peter.
Some researchers have Peter's parents as David F Gregory and Mary Collie. Peter's death record does have his mother's name as Mary, but beyond that, I have not been able to verify this idea.
