Notes
There is an Aquilla Clark who was living in Wayne County, IL in the 1870s and '80s. It's likely that this is our Aquilla since Aquilla's son James was living in Wayne County in 1870 and in neighboring Clay County after that. If this is the correct Aquilla Clark, it appears that he married a second time to Mary F. ???. She may have been born c 1816 in Kentucky and may have previously been married to a Cochran.
The 1840 census lists a male born 1820-1825. This might possibly have been another child of Aquilla and Helen, but more likely, was another relative or farm hand. The 1840 census also lists a female born 1810-1820; she is too old to have been a child.
Some researchers have Aquilla's parents as William Clark and Sarah Anderson
