Barwick in Elmet, Yorkshire, EnglandOne survey of Bainbridge Cemetery copies his headstone inscription as "Wm. B. Born at Derwick (Dorwick) in --- Yorkshire ENG, d Mar 1 1874 ag 63y6m21da" (the parenthetical "Dorwick" appears to be the transcriber's note). I have not been able to find a Derwick or Dorwick in Yorkshire. This may refer to Barwick-in-Elmet, in West Yorkshire, which is the place that family legend says the Bramley's come from.9
