North CarolinaThe 1870 census for John Burton's family shows all of John's children, including the ones born after 1860, to have been born in North Carolina. This seems likely to be an enumeration error, since the 1860 census shows that John was in Kentucky by 1860. It seems likely that at least the children from William on were born in Kentucky.
