ROUSSEAU FAMILY BIBLE

The Rousseau Family Bible is a very old, large table-top style Bible which measures 14 1/2 inches tall by 11 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches thick. It is dark brown with elaborate gold embossing and filigree work on two large locking gold clasps that serve to close the Bible. It is beautifully illustrated with steel engravings throughout. Even the tissue paper separators with each engraving are still intact. While there is no publication date within its pages, it is obviously extremely old, perhaps 150 years. Its age, its artistic presentation and its extremely good condition has brought very generous appraisal values.
