DOLLIE DEGRAFFENREED ROGERS

Dollie Rogers, a resident of the Haskell Care Center, went to her Heavenly home Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 after a long tiring illness.

Dollie was born July 16, 1925 in Martin Hill in Creek County to Riley and Mary Pulattie Degraffenreed. Dollie married Leo Rogers in 1941 and to this union five children were born. Dollie was a homemaker who loved taking care of her children, and in her spare time she sold Studio Cosmetics.

She would knit sweaters for her family and friends. Just this month she had been voted resident of the month at the Haskell Care Center.

Dollie was preceded in death by her husband Leo; one son Billy Ray; her parents; four brothers Lloyd, Leonard, J.T. and Art; and two sisters Effie and Marie Harris.

Survivors are children Don Rogers and his wife Betty, of Haskell; Eddie Rogers and his wife Janice, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Sue Ellis, of Sapulpa; and Doris Ann Thomas and her husband Stan, of Locust Grove; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Geraldine Gates and Della Bell, both of Sapulpa; and brother Richard Degraffenreed, of Sapulpa.

Funeral services for Dollie have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Hardage officiating. Interment will follow in the Kellyville Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
