INEZ JEWEL DEASON

From "The Sapulpa Daily Herald," Tuesday, December 20, 2005

Inez Jewel Deason was a sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She spent 34 years working in the Creek County Court Clerk's office until she retired in January 1999.

She died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.

Smiles, dimples, and laughter were the things you most remembered when encountering Inez, or "Nezzie" as her friends called her.

Inez often told those close to her how thankful she was and what a good life she had lived. She loved people and truly valued the many friendships she made over the years.

Her devotion to her family was well known. She spent every week, on the go with her sister Ruby, shopping and running erands.

Her hobbies included roller skating and bowling. Inez will always be remembered as a good person with a generous heart and spirit. We will miss her laughter and positive outlook on life. She was a determined woman who said her prayers nightly.

We know she is in Heaven with her husband, Claudie, and her sister Pearl. God has another jewel within his glorious Heaven.

She is survived by her son Danny Gleason; daughter-in-law Lisa Deason; grandson Daniel Deason; sister Ruby Fickett; nephew Doug Fickett; nieces Gale Walker and Sharon Saulmon; and aunt Juanita Clarks.

Funeral services for Inez have been set for 10 a.m. Wedneseday, Dec. 21, 2005 in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glen Hood officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
