James Allan Sexson, 44, of Sapulpa, is the son of Farrell Sexson and Carolyn Walters. He was born Jan. 13, 1961 at Leavenworth, Kan. and passed away April 24, 2005 in Sapulpa.
James worked at Madison Inc. for 13 years, worked in the oil fields and did carpenter work. James "Jim" liked to build trikes and ride motorcycles. He was a very good father and grandfather. He was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship.
James is survived by two daughters Debra King and husband, Tracy, of Sapulpa, and Trisha Sexson and Jeff Gibson, of Sapulpa; one son Mark Sexson and Ashley Kay, of Tulsa; his parents Farrell Sexson and wife Elaine, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Carolyn Walters and her husband the late Robert Walters, of Sapulpa; fiance Charlotte Owens; one brother Randy Sexson and wife Shawn, of Sapulpa; one sister Christina Purnell and husband Shane, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; three grandchildren Cameron and DeCoda King, of Sapulpa, and Jordan Gibson, of Sapulpa; one nephew Joe Sexson and wife Tracie, of Kiefer; four nieces Kimberly Sauls , of Sapulpa, Nicole Sexson, of Sapulpa, and Mallory Prunell and Aubrey Purnell, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; and one great-niece Makala Sauls, of Sapulpa.
Jim will be sadly missed by a host of numerous friends and relatives. We love you Jim.
Pall bearers are Tommy Owens Jr., Harold Vaughn, Shawn Davis Sr., Jeff Gibson, David Friend Sr. and Richard Friend Sr.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville.
Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
