RYEL -- Juanita Oleta, died March 10, 2005, in Bristow, OK, at the age of 82. She was born on January 29, 1922 in Cleo Springs, OK, to Orin Isaac and Ruby Tucker Law, the younger of 2 daughters. Her sister, Olive Brinson, of Cleo Springs, OK, survives her. Juanita married Reverend Loren Emerson Ryel on December 25, 1940 in Cleo Springs and they were married 64 years. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2005. Other survivors include: their 3 children and families, Letha Ryel-Elmore of Carrollton, TX, her daughter's family, Andrea and Steve Slaughter and children, Stefani, Andrew and Valorie of Birmingham, AL, and her son's family, Bradley and Auna Roseberry and children, Matthew and Sarah of Louisville, KY; Rita and J.C. Bedford of Broken Arrow, OK, and Frederic John and Rhonda Ryel of Bristow, OK, his daughter's family, Heather and Rich Branscum and children, Abigail and John of Holdenville, OK; his son's family, John Isaac Ryel and son, Aidan Isaac of McAlester, OK, and Rhonda's son's family, Tommy and Amanda King of HOldenville, OK. A granddaughter, Jill Justus, Rita Bedford's daughter, preceded her in death. Juanita attended and graduated from Celo Springs schools. As a Disciples of Christ (Christian) minister's wife, she served with Reverend Ryle in Oklahoma at First Christian Church Carmen, First Christian Church, Federick, Davis Park Christian Church, Enid, First Christian Church, Claremore, First Christian Church-Woodward, Memorial Christian Church Tulsa, First Christian Church-Poteau and First Christian Church - Nash, where they retired from full-time ministry. They also served at Central Christian Church, Wichita, KS, and First Christian Church, Liberal, KS. She taught children's Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, played the piano, sang in choirs and was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. They also lived in Enid, OK where Loren was working for Phillips Univeristy. Upon retirement, they returned to Cleo Springs until her father, Orin Law, died, at which time they moved to the Tulsa, OK area. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother whose special talent was baking desserts. There are many fond holiday memories of each person's favorite dessert lovingly prepared for every person in attendance. Funeral service will be at the Cleo Springs First Christian Church on March 13, 2005, at 2 p.m. with burial at Square Cedar Cemetery.
