1940 - 2005

Margaret Mae Ailey died on Dec. 21, 2005, in Tulsa, at the age of 65. She was born in Gypsy on June 29, 1940 to Jesse Henry Brown and Winnie McGuire Brown and lived most of her life in Milfay.

After high school, she attended Draughan School of Business in Tulsa and worked as a secretary. She was the postmistress at Milfay prior to her death. Margaret attended the Gypsy Holiness Church and was a strong church worker. She also wrote the Milfay News for the Stroud American. She loved to read, and painted in her younger years.

Margaret is survived by her husband Alvin of the home; mother Winnie Brown of Gypsy; son James Michael Ailey and his wife Malisa of Broken Arrow; daughters Lori Ann Victory of Milfay and Lisa Dian Parks and husband Rick of Chelsea; five sisters, Wilma Duke and husband Charles of Depew, Freida Fowler and husband Johnnie of Midwest City, Shirley Brown of Gypsy, Sharon VanOrsdol and husband Gene of Bristow and Earlene Bostick and husband William of Kellyville; eight grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Ivan Reeder Auditorium at Depew High School with Brothers Larry Wood and Melvin Duke officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville. Services are under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.
