Mattie B. Hicks, of Depew, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 19, 2005. A devout mother, grandmother and wife, she was loved deeply by all who knew her.
Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Annie and Ed Wheeler; mother and father-in-law Frieda and Pete Baily; three brothers Willie Wheeler, Jim Wheeler and J.T. Wheeler; and two sisters Viola Clouse and Chailis Wheeler; and granddaughter Amy Dawn Montgomery.
She is survived by her husband Jim Baily of 21 years; former husband Mike Hicks of 14 years; sister Edith Calhoun, of Turlock, Calif.; brother Garmen Wheeler, of Ceris, Calif.; sister Maralla Waters, of Eufaula; children Mike Hicks, of Eurika, Kan., Jason Hicks, of Depew, Tonya Degner, of Bristow, Jussica Montgomery, of Bristow; grandchildren Cody Hicks, Shyla Hicks, Tara Degress, Denton Degner, Landon Degner, Christopher Hicks, Kyler Hicks, Kali Hicks, Luke Montgomery and Jermiah Montgomery.
She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family has chosen to entrust the care of the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.
