Mayetta P. Canady was the fifth child born to Ben and Nettie Canady on Jan. 23, 1914. She was born and grew up in the community of Springcreek north of Depew.
Mayetta departed this life on the morning of Dec. 8, 2005, at her home.
Mayetta was preceded in death by both parents, six brothers and three sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, one brother, Ben W. Canady and his wife, Odella, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 16, 2005, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Graveside rites will follow at Harlinsville Cemetery north of Bristow. Services are under the direction of Jack's Memory Chapel in Tulsa, 428-4431.
