SALLY ANN MOTO MARSHALL

Sally Ann Moto Marshall was born Dec. 20, 1954 in Nome, Alaksa. She moved to Lawton at the age of 16 to live with her sister Stella Brandon and family, including another sister Mona Birnea.

After graduation at Eisenhower High School, she attended Haskell Junior College in Lawrence, Kan. She met her husband Eli Marshall while in junior college and they had one son Jason Moto, of Sapulpa. She became a member of the Pickett Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an active member with the United Methodist Women unit of Pickett Chapel, U.M.C. Also, Sally was active with Church Women United serving as past presdient and secretary. She was a Sunday school teacher and later superintendent. She enjoyed her responsibilities as superintendent because of her love and concern for all children. The Lord gave Sally the gift of creativity and art which she loved to share. Her greatest gift was the ability to reach out to people with her smile, kind words and a big hug.

Sally Ann Moto Marshall died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at her home with family and friends at her side.

She was preceded in death by both parents Taylor Moto Sr. and Frieda Kunnuk; one sister Kathy; and four brothers, Joseph, Joe, Jonathan and Charlie.

Survivors are her husband Eli and son Jason, of Sapulpa; sisters Stella Brandon and Mona Birnea, of Lawton; brother Taylor Moto Jr., of Deering, Alaska; niece Tamera Williams, of Lawton; and nephews Scott Williams, of Oklahoma City, Wayne Brandon, Danny Brandon and Troy Brandon, all of Lawton.

Wake services for Sally have been set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 in the Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Pickett Chapel U.M.C. Interment will follow at South Heights Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be Chris Marshall, Danny Cahwee, Wayne Brandon, Danny Brandon, Richard Grounds and Richard Davis.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
