CAIN -- Charles H., 78, of Sapulpa, OK passed away August 25, 2005. Born in Century, FL, March 28, 1927, and is survived by his wife, Dorothy and children, Glenn, Vickie and Valarie. He had been blessed with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His journey in life led him down many paths, growing up in rural Atmore, AL; joining the U.S. Navy at age 16; during WWII with a fleet of LSTs in the South Pacific. While stationed in San Jose, CA, he met his wife of 58 years, Dorothy. They moved to Oklahome shortly after his discharge and remained in Oklahoma for most of their lives together, enjoying their children and traveling. He loved automobiles, cats, Lemons and land. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and wonderful provider. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Charles H. Cain, 78, of Sapulpa, passed away Aug. 25, 2005. He was born in Century, Fla. March 28, 1927.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy and children Glenn, Vickie and Valarie. He has been blessed with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

GARY WAYNE CALDWELL
Gary Wayne Caldwell, resident of Ponca City, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 at his home. He was 52 years of age.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at Foursquare Gospel Church at 700 W. Broadway in Ponca City with the Rev. Dale Henshaw officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dan Caldwell. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Gary was born Jan. 10, 1952 in Sapulpa, the son of James Howard and Opal Lee (Turner) Caldwell. He received his education in the California school system. He then returned to Oklahoma in 1972. He was employed with Jim Owens Roofing for several years before working for the City of Ponca City as an Animal Control Officer for 20 years until the time of his death.
He was married to Susan Eileen Jeffries in 1978 and together they had three children. On April 13, 1991 he married Teresa Jeanene Jordan and they resided in Ponca City.
Gary's biggest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Gifted with a beautiful singing voice, Gary was active with a local country/rock band that was loved not only by the public but most of all by his friends and family. He was an extreme Oklahoma Sooners fan who enjoyed watching football and basketball on a regular basis. Camping, fishing and boating were his favorite hobbies to do during the spring and summer months.
He is survived by his three children, Rodney Caldwell, Randy Caldwell and his wife, Charity, and Beth Petrie and her husband, Chad, all of Ponca City; two stepchildren, Haley Misiura and Jason Walenciak, both of Ponca City; one brother, Jerry "Duke" Caldwell and his wife, Karen, of Ojai, Calif.; one sister, Patsy Wynn and her husband, Tom, of Ponca City; 10 grandchildren, Alyssa Ullery, Zachary and Dristen Misiura, Rheanna Sanders, Michael and Savannah Caldwell, Garret "Bubba" Caldwell, Evan and Jacob Petrie and Jordan Walenciak, all of Ponca City; two nieces, Shelley Nelson and her husband, Dan, of Ojai, Calif., and Suzanne Thompson and her husband, Kenny, of Ponca City, and two nephews, Marcus Caldwell of Ojai, Calif., and Tommy Wynn and his wife, Megan, of Ponca City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanene, and his parents.
Casketbearers will be Jim Owens, Gary Wilson, Kenny Thompson, Andrew Dressin, Kenny Sherron and Thomas Horan.
OPAL LEE CALDWELL
Opal Lee Caldwell, a resident of Ponca City, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at her home. She was 78.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at the Full Gospel Baptist Church in Sapulpa with Pastor Dan Caldwell officiating, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poteau.
Opal was born Sept. 8, 1924 in Ringling to Benjamin Franklin and Vida Mae Turner. She was married to James Howard Caldwell in May 1946.
They moved to California in 1957 and lived there for many years before returning to Oklahoma, residing in Ponca City in 1972.
Opal retired from the Ponca City Nursing Home where she had worked for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, garage sales and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Jerry "Duke" Caldwell and his wife, Karen Caldwell, of Ojai, Calif., and Gary Wayne Caldwell of Ponca City; one daughter, Patsy Ann Wynn, and her husband, Tom Wynn, of Ponca City; grandchildren, Shelly Nelson and her husband, Dan Nelson, and Marcus Caldwell, all of Ojai, Calif., and Rodney Caldwell, Randy Caldwell, and his wife, Charity Caldwell, Suzanne Thompson and husband, Kenny Thompson, Tommy Wynn and Beth Petrie and her husband, Chad Petrie, all of Ponca City; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Aubrielle, Aaron and Karena, all of Ojai, Calif., and Savannah, Michael, Garrett "Bubba" and Evan James, all of Ponca City. She is also survived by one sister, Lorene Kidd of Bristow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; four brothers; and one daughter-in-law.

Katherine A. (Asher) Callaham died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at her home at the age of 63. She was born Dec. 25, 1941 in Sapulpa. She had lived here all of her life. She was a retired medical clerk, graduate of Sapulpa High School and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was active in the P.T.A., Camp Fire Girls and was a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by husband Max, of the home; children Katherine Callaham, Steve and Janet Callaham, Martha and Chris Holder; grandchildren Casey Frazier and fiance' Ryan Shelton, Tylar, Garret, and Jenna Callaham; sisters Diane Groover, Brenda Asher, Imogene Carlock and Dorothy Tullo.

Sarah Ann Canterbury, a native of Okmulgee and a long time resident of Sapulpa, died in Mobile, Ala. Monday, April 12, 2004.
An honored volunteer for the American Cancer Society, an ombudsman, a member of the Women's Chamber, an active volunteer with R.A.I.N. and a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church, Ms. Canterbury is survived by her daughter, Elyse C. D.J. "Sarge" Card
D.J. "Sarge" Card died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Hot Springs, Ark. at the age of 78.
Sarge was born May 16, 1925, in Eagle Bend, Minn., and had moved to Hot Spring six years ago from Kiefer.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, had served in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps; was a member of the American Legion, Retired Police Officers Association, a former employee of the Oklahoma State Highway Department; had been the director of Kiefer Civil Defense and had been a sergeant on the Kiefer Police Department.
Survivors are his wife, Linda, of the home; brother, Leonard Card of South Carolina; sister, Marion Card, of Georgia; and half-sister Pat Childers, of Texas.
Funeral services for Sarge will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Cora Bell Yocham Carley
Cora Bell Yocham Carley, a lifelong resident of Sapulpa, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 in Sapulpa. The daughter of George Richard Yocham and Nancy (Beasley) Yocham, she was born Aug. 28, 1915 in Oak Grove. She graduated from Kellyville High School in 1936. She had been a resident of Sapulpa since 1936 and was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Sapulpa.
She worked in the cafeterias of various Sapulpa Public Schools 25 years. She was married to Nathaniel Loy Carley on June 25, 1938 in Sapulpa and the two sons were born to this union, Don Adam and Richard Loy. Her husband preceded her in death in 1975. In addition to parents and husband, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons Don and wife Linda, of Sapulpa, and Richard and wife Glenda, of Owasso; four grandchildren and their spouses, Grant and Lea Ann Carley Sattler, of Tokyo, Don Adam Carley II and Cheryl, of Bethany, Stephen and Anita Carley Feland, of Yukon, and Alan D. Carley, of Denver; eight great-grandchildren; two nephews and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa with the Rev. F. Irwin Harris officiating.

James "Jimmy" Franklin Carlock was born July 1, 1964 at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa to James and Saundra Carlock. He was the No. 1 son and was followed by his twin, Mark Allen Carlock, who preceded him in death.
Jimmy was called home on Aug. 1, 2005.
He attended Woodlawn Elementary and Sapulpa High School. He was a tuba player in the band and enjoyed marching and symphonic band. He graduated in 1982.
Jimmy was employed with the City of Sapulpa and was previously employed at Saint-Gobain Container, where he worked in the hot end and enjoyed telling stories about what he did there. He was a hard worker and always put his all into any job he had.
Jimmy loved music, his animals and riding with his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand and would give you the shirt off his back and start looking for you another one.
He was a wonderful son, father, brother and friend. He will be missed greatly by everyone. We love you, Jimmy!
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father James Floyd Carlock in 1989; grandfathers Roy Oliver Moss in 1996 and Gorden Fletcher in 2005; and grandmother Sybil Moss in 1998.
Jimmy is survived by one son Jeremy Allen Carlock, of the home, who was his best friend and entire reason for lving. They enjoyed riding their bikes together and if you saw one, the other was sure to be close by. If they weren't together they were on the phone with each other to see where the other one was at, and where they were going to meet up.
He is also survived by his mother Saundra Carlock, of Sapulpa; a sister Julie Carlock, of Tulsa; grandmother Mildred Fletcher, of Sapulpa; and cousins Rick and Teri Jewell and Robyn Wilson, all of Sapulpa.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 5, 2005 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Harold Joseph "Tex" Carlton
Harold Joseph (Tex) Carlton, 75, of Sapulpa, died Sunday.
Mr. Carlton was born Dec. 22, 1928 in Fort Smith, Ark. to Harvold V. and Margaret Schweitzer Carlton.
He was a graduate of Frontenac, Kansas High School and a graduate of Fort Scott, Kansas Junior Callege and was a four sport letterman. He was on the 1947-48 National Championship Team, a member of the Oil Capital and Tulsa Gun Club, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was co-owner of Major Oil Company from 1951 to 2002. He had been in the business for 51 years.
He was preceded in death by his paretns, his daughter Cathy in 1972 and sisters Vita, Marie and Margaret.
Survivors are his wife, Peggy, of the home; two sons, Mark Carlton, of the home, and Chris Carlton, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Tyler and Sarah Carlton; brother David Carlton, of Joplin, Mo. and sisters JoAnne Kraig of Kansas, Teresa Buffie of Missouri and Judy Chronister, of Kansas.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Stuart Crevcoure officiating.

Mary Sue Magness Carnahan, 79, of Missouri and formerly of Sapulpa, died Sept. 18, 2004.
Graveside services weill be Friday, Sept. 24, 2004 at Green Hill Memorial Garden under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
Mrs. Carnahan was first a homemaker and then a community-minded volunteer in several organizations throughout her adult life. She was a den mother for both Cub and Boy Scouts, a lifetime member of Campfire, serving as leader for both Bluebird and Campfire Girls. She served as mother advisor for Rainbow Girls Assembly No. 8, she was a lifetime member of Oklahoma Eastern Star, a Demolay Mom, a member of the Shriners Ladies Auxiliary and a member of National Campers and Hikers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Carnahan, and her daughter Carol Sue Kohler Allen.
Survivors include a son Mike Carnahan, of Texas; two daughters Emily Johnson, of Missouri, and Terri Fletcher, of Tennessee; two brothers; one sister; eight grandsons; six great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

MARTY DALE CARR
Mary Dale Carr, of Sapulpa, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at the age of 45.
Marty was born March 23, 1958, in Sapulpa. He was a truck driver and a member of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors are his wife, Kimberly Hanks Carr, of the home; children Martin S. Carr, Cassidy R. Carr and Blake A. Carr; stepchildren Christopher Kirby and Austin Chambers; grandchildren Christopher Kirby and Nicholaus Kirby; his parents, Paul K. Carr, of Purcell and Vera Clements, of Sapulpa; brothers Kenny Carr, of Glenpool, Ricky Carr, of Sapulpa; and sisters Beck Smith and Jennie Carr, both of Sapulpa.

Robert Leeman Carrow
Robert Leeman Carrow, age 71, formerly of Morley, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at 4:45 p.m. at his residence in Sapulpa. He was born Dec. 25, 1932 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Robert William and Ethelene Hodge.
He worked as a construction worker and painter before becoming a minister. For 20 years he served as minister of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle in Joplin, Mo. until his retirement and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church International. On Jan. 5, 1951 at Morley, Mo., he married Pat York, who survives, of the home.
Survivors include four daughters Connie Sheppard, of Doniphan, Mo., Pam Cooke, of Austin, Texas, Becky Shipp, of Sulphur, La. and Laurie Phillips, of Sapulpa; one sister Lola Freeman, of Jefferson City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1004 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at the First United Pentecost Church in Kennett, Mo. at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 with the Rev. Bobby Tidwell, of Osceola, Ark., the Rev. Carroll McGruder, of Kennett, Mo. and the Rev. Keith Townsley, of Tulsa, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Evelyn Carter, 89, of Sapulpa, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at the Ambassador Courtyards in Tulsa. Evelyn was born Feb. 13, 1914 in Blackburn and had moved to Sapulpa from Bella Vista, Ark.
She was a retired school teacher and had taught at Soldier Creek Elementary Schools and Midwest City. She received her B.A. from Oklahoma State University and was a member of the N.E.A. and O.E.A., Eastern Star and P.E.O.
Survivors are her daughter, Brenda Johnson, and husband, Dr. Don Johnson, of Sapulpa; grandson, Christopher C. Johnson, of Houston; grandchildren, Amanda Marie and Kitt Johnson.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carter have been set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at the Albert Powell Cemetery in Hominy.

Larry Ray Carter, of Kellyville, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the age of 67.
Larry was born May 1, 1937 in Texarkana, Texas to Jack and Alice Whitstone Carter.
Larry was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors are his wife, Glenda, of the home; children Kim Harwood and her husband, Allen, of Kellyville, Michael Carter and his wife, Patricia, of Kellyville, and Lance Carter and Wanda Weaver, of Tulsa; grandchildren Ashley and Anthony Vendetti, Brice, Lance, Keely and Gage Carter and Zane Carter; great-grandchild Baylie Vendetti; and sister Patricia Moore, of Bronte, Texas.

Mary Carter, 95, of Drumright, passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005.
She was born in Greenfield, Mo., Sept. 24, 1909 to Jasper C. and Dollie Pickett Clopton.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dean M. Carter and sister Martha.
She is survived by her son Neal Whitley and wife Jean, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Stevie Mark, Jeff Whitley and wife Diana; great-grandchildren Gretchen Mayhew and husband Steve, Zachary Mark and wife Dana; great-great-grandchildren Tameya Mayhew, Paige Mayhew, Payton Mayhew and Gracie Mark.

Ollie Mae Casey, 83, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Ranch Terrace Nursing Home. She was born September 3, 1921 in Flemingsburg, Ky.
Following graduation she attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary where she graduated with a bachelor of literature degree. There she met her husband Russell Casey and was married to him for 59 years.
She moved to Iowa where she worked for Marshalltown School System. In 1972, they moved to Oklahoma where she worked with her church and at Woodlawn Elementary School in the Sapulpa School district until her retirement in 1991. She received several awards for outstanding service to Sapulpa School.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Casey, parents Nettie and Walter Hunt, one sister and six brothers.
Survivors include her husband Russell Casey; daughter Cheryl; grandchildren Kim Casey, David Casey and wife Amy, of Paris, Ky. and Brittney and Chelsey Little, of Sapulpa; daughter-in-law Elaine and husband Jim Hutchison, of Pair, Ky.; brothers-in-law Roger Casey and wife Leah, of Correctionville, Iowa, John Casey and wife Helen, of Seattle, Travis, Troy and Nathan Hutchison; great-grandson James David Casey Sword, of Paris, Ky.; two sisters, Maxine Bow, of Carlisle, Ky. and Bea Wade of West Carrollton, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger Casper, 51, of Kellyville and formerly of Washington, Ill., died Tuesday, November 11, 2003.
Roger was born Oct. 25, 1932 to LaVerne and Elsa Casper. He married Marilyn Pitts Feb. 14, 1991.
He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union. He retired in 1997 due to health problems.

Jeri Sue Denton Hunt Castor went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 10:31 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 54.
Mrs. Castor was born May 28, 1947, to John and Ruby Denton and was a resident of Sapulpa until the past several years.
She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1965 and worked as a legal secretary until she decided to dedicate her life to her home as a loving wife, mother and friend.
She was preceded in death by parents John and Ruby Denton, daughter Kai Dawn Spears Hunt and her brother John Charles Denton.
She is survived by her husband Jeff Castor of the home, daughter and son-in-law Angi and Tom Plummer of Bixby, son and daughter-in-law Lance and Angela Hunt of Tulsa, stepdaughter Jamie Castor of the home, grandchildren Jordan, Chance and Pierce Plummer, Chloe Hunt, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nena Ann and Bob Bradley of Sapulpa, mother-in-law and father-in-law Jessie and Dorothy Castor of Oilton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anita and Marvin Carter of Winston Salem, N.C. along with nieces, nephews and countless other friends and family.

Elbert Ray Cates
Elbert Ray Cates went to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2004. He was 26 years old. He was born Oct. 13, 1978 in Sapulpa to Ray and Jana Cates.
Elbert was a lifelong resident of Sapulpa. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1997 and completed the machine technology course at Central Vo-Tech. He married Crickett Reynolds on July 11, 1997. He was a devoted husband and loving father to four sons. He was employed by RDS Manufacturing in Broken Arrow for three years. Elbert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and his brother Jason Cates.
Survivors are wife Crickett and sons Luke, Isaiah, Jacob and John, of the home; parents Ray and Jana Cates, of Okesa; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Steve Gaasch and their children Shane, Angela, Brent and Stephanie, of Bristow; grandparents Elbert and Bertha Wise, of Oakhurst; grandfather Virgil Cates, of Copan, and great-grandmother Grace Cates, of Bartlesville. He is also survived by mother and father-in-law Larry and Johna Reynolds; sister-in-law Larra Mayfield and husband Darrin and their children Brent, Megan and Joshua; sister-in-law Jeannie Reynolds; brother-in-law Del Reynolds; and sister-in-law Leslie Reynolds, all of Sapulpa. Oleva Ruth Pearce Cather, former Kellyville resident, died Friday at the Cushing Hospital at the age of 92.
Mrs. Cather was born Dec. 7, 1911 in Purcell to George and Eulia Ward Pearce; she was a homemaker; member of the C.W.F. and the Pythian Sisters; member of the Kellyville Christian Church and had lived in Kellyville since 1968.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Johnny Murrell and Lonnie Cather; son William Davis Murrell and one brother George Pearce.
Survivors are her children, Ralph and Pat Murrell, of Winfield, Kan., Elton and Marietta Cather, of Woodard, Marilyn and Fred Robinson, of Drumright, Vineta and Wynn Weathers, of San Angelo, Texas, and Loreta and Ricky Watkins, of Kellyville; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters Loreta Latham of Minco, and Vineta Roley of Melbourn, Florida.
Oleva loved to travel and loved quilting, crochet and gardening.

Grace Edith Causey
Grace Edith Causey was born in Sapulpa Dec. 31, 1917. She went to be with her Lord Friday, Feb. 18, 2005.
She attended Ridgeway Baptist Church long before she was a member in 1939. Grace moved out of the Sapulpa area for a time before she moved back in 1999. She became a member of the Canyon Road Baptist Church. She loved the Lord. She resided at the Hickory Crossing. Grace was, what she called herself, "almost an artist." She was a hairdresser (beautician) until an allergy to hair spray compelled her to retire. She also liked many kinds of crafts and needle work.
She was a member of the Rose Unit of Sapulpa Garden Club. She and her husband were charter members of both the Okie Kampers and the Frisco Railrunners camping clubs and helped with the organizing of them. She loved to bowl also. They loved camping and traveling and visited every state in the U.S.A. except Alaska and Hawaii.
Grace was preceded in death by her father, Guy Miller in 1960; husband, Willard in 1981; mother Lillian Miller in 1984; son Raymond Causey in 1990; and brother Gerald Miller in 1993.
She leaves behind her son, Bill Causey, of Lake City, Fla.; daughter Jackie Ward, of Muskogee; brother Gilbert Miller; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at the Canyon Road Baptist Church. There will be a family visitation Tuesday, Feb. 22, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

CECIL -- Mary E., 84, of Hartsville, SC passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2004, following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Crawford Vaughn. Mrs. Cecil relocated to Hartsville 6 years ago to be near her family. While in Hartsville she enjoyed crafting, quilting and current events, and she was a member of the Kelleytown Baptist Church. Prior to her relocation, Mrs. Cecil, a native Oklahoman, whose grandparents made "the run" into Oklahoma Territory in 1889, was a resident of Bristow, OK. She was elected as Bristow's first female City Council member and was very active in other community activities, including the Baptist Hospital Board and the Business and Professsional Women's Association. Mrs. Cecil was a member of First Baptist Church of Bristow, where she was a long time member of the choir. She was also part of the locally known BPW trio, singing at events around the state for many years. Mrs. Cecil was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Laymond B. "Bud" Cecil. She is survived by: her son, Allan V. Cecil and his wife, Tricia of Hartsville; son, Gregory D. Cecil of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Jill C. Snyder and husband, Brent of Hartsville, Sarah C. Ima Cellan, of Sapulpa, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at the age of 97.
She was born July 12, 1907 in Lockhart, Texas and had lived in Sapulpa for the past 24 years moving here from Gage.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to work in the garden, quilting and loved to be with people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1978; her parents William and Lealie New Perry; and three sisters.
Survivors are her children Lois Self and husband Arland, of Sapulpa, Margie Garlen and husband James, of Savannah, Ga., Curtis Cellan and wife Betty, of Oklahoma City, James Cellan and wife Sharon, of Shawnee, and Virginia Foster and husband Leonard, of Moore; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother Oran Perry and wife Violet, of Aztec, N.M.; and sister Gladys Chapman, of Grants, N.M.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, in the Westside Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Millard McGuire and the Rev. James Garlen officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Everett Cecil Chambers was born December 7, 1922, and died in his home in Kern City, on August 14, 2003.
Everett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Bernice, a son, Thomas Wade Wheeler and a grandson, Arron Wheeler and all of his brothers and sisters. Everett is survived by his very special friend, Reba Yeats of Kern City and her loving family of Bakersfield; sons, J. Cecil Chambers and wife, Mary of Pahrump, Nevada, Jerry Chambers of Dixon, CA, Tony Chambers and wife, Sheila of Stage Coach, Nevada, Ronnie Wheeler and wife, Marie of McIntosh, New Mexico; daughters, Wilda Ayler and husband, Harold of Kingman, Arizona, Lisa Mustin and fiance, Eric of Tulare; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Everett was born and raised in Bristow, Oklahoma. He moved to Bakersfield with his family as a teen. He was the youngest child of John Wesley and Bertie Chambers. He served in the Army as a WWII veteran. He married and raised a family as a loving husband, father and friend. He loved and enjoyed the outdoors and taught the children and grandchildren by example and experience. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and water skiing. Once he built a boat named "The Lisa Kay." Everett retired in 1986 as plant supervisor of an oil refinery after 40 years. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ and Green Acres Senior Center, and a former member of Niles Street Senior Center where he met dear Reba.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Thanks to Alternative Care for the wonderful caregivers who gave such great care and support to Everett and us.

Betty Lou Chance, a homemaker, died Friday. She was 75.
A funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sand Springs, under the directon of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home of Sand Springs.
She was born in Stillwater on July 30, 1927, to H. Harry Blumer and Nona Fitzpatrick Blumer.
After graduating from Stillwater High School in 1944, she attended Oklahoma State University.
On Dec. 23, 1945, she married Richard L. Chance of Cushing. He preceded her in death.
Chance was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sand Springs.
She is survived by: three daughters, Linda Hudson of Sapulpa, Kathy Barlow of Sand Springs, and Ellen Kay Lyons of Edmong; three sons-in-law, Roger Hudson of Sapulpa; Steve Barlow, Tulsa World operations and production director, of Sand Springs, and Michael Lyons of Edmond; a brother, H. Maynard Blumer of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Monnie Jewel Chapman, 94, died Monday, March 1, 2004 in Tulsa. Mrs. Chapman was born May 9, 1909 in Bethesda, Ark.
She graduated from Mounds High School and worked at Bartlett-Collins Glass Company nine years. She moved to Sapulpa in 1926 and had been a member of the First Baptist Church since 1929.
Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; brothers Jack Harris, Woody Brooks, Sercey Brooks and sister Bertia McIntosh.
Survivors are her children, Jean and Edward Whitney, of Sapulpa, Judy and Gene Plummer, of Sapulpa, David and Josephine Chapman, of Kalaheo, HI., and Beryl Luker, of Tulsa; grandchildren Maggie Freeman, Laura Chancler, Brenda Whitney, Eddie Whitney, Lynn Roller, Glenda Silvey, Susan Hackney, Julian Luker, Jeff Plummer, Bruce Plummer, Marshall Plummer II, Kathleen Chapman and Monica Chapman; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Lanell Nunemaker, of Cerretos, Calif., and Kathleen Johnson, of Blackwell, and brother, Sam Brooks of Colorado.

He served in the U.S. Merchant Marine for 15 years and he served in the Korean War.
Mr. Chasteen was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of the home; his son, Steven Chasteen, and wife Stacy; and three granddaughters, Stephanie, Jennifer and Kaysie Jo.

On June 7, 2003, Justin L. Cheek went home to be with our Lord and Savior.
Born on Dec. 4, 1991, Justin was a gift to all who came to know him. Justin loved to fish, swim, watch NASCAR racing and to play with his three cousins.
Justin is preceded in death by his mother, Debra L. Myers, and great-grandparents Mack and Dean Spry.

Mary Louise (Crum) Chewning, formerly of Sapulpa, passed away Nov. 25, 2003.
She completed her education at Sapulpa High School and graduated with the class of 1941. Her husband was in the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and Orlando until his death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry Sr. and Edna Crum; two brothers, Joe and Richard, and one sister, Thelma Hull, of Sapulpa.
She is survived by daughters, Pam Boyhin, Debbie Wilkerson and Julie Chewning; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Harry Crum Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Sapulpa; one sister, Virginia Fuller, of Anchorage, Alaska, and her life long friend, Fred Brimage Shaw, of Sapulpa.
Among her other involvements in the community, she was very active in the VFW Auxiliary of Orlando where she served as president several times and attended national conventions as a delegate.
She was a loving and generous person to her family and a trusting and loyal friend to all. Her wit and personal and sincere care for everyone will be sorely missed by all who had associated with her.

Johnathon Michael Clanton, 3, of Tulsa, died Friday, June 13, 2003, in Tulsa.

Alford James Clark
Alford James Clark, 94, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Sapulpa. He was born in Hackett, Ark. to Willard and Laura Clark on August 29, 1909 and moved to Poteau at the age of 10. He remained a resident of the Poteau area until 2000 at which time he moved to Sapulpa into the Gardens Retirement Center.
He married the love of his life in 1935 and was married for 67 wonderful years. Three children were born of this marriage. He retired in 1970 after working as a coal miner for more than 20 years. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vanelia.
He is survived by three children Zane Clark and wife Phyllis, Willard Clark and wife Linda, and Barbara Bilby and husband Johnny, as well as eight grandhildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Officiating the services will be Johnny Bilby and Bob Thompson. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Allen Free Will Baptist Church under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Green Hills Cemetery.

Clare Noah Clark
Our Dad, Clare, left this life to join our Mother, Forence, his wife of 69 years, in their heavenly home Friday evening, April 4, 2003.
Clare was born to Albert G. Clark and Isabelle McClure Clark, July 23, 1906 near Capron, Oklahoma Territory.
The family moved to Alva, where he graduated from high school and from Northwestern Oklahoma State Teachers College.
He taught and was principal at Lambert, Oklahoma High School where he met his wife to be, Florence Gertrude Sherman, a young music teacher at the school.
In 1929 he moved to Tulsa to join Amerada Petroleum Corporation. Clare and Flo married that year at the Wheeling Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa. Their daughter Clarice was born 1930 and Ronald followed in 1936.
The Clarks were very active in the Wheeling Avenue Church, where Mr. Clark taught Sunday School for over 40 years and served as Treasurer and Chairman of the Board.
The Clarks were active supporters of Christian ministries, particularly Phillips University in Enid and the Oklahoma Christian Home in Edmond.
Mr. Clark was employed at Amerada for 42 years, retiring as Chief Internal Corporate Auditor in 1971.
In his work with Amerada he traveled throughout the United States, Canada and North Africa. He and his wife enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad.
He loved music and the arts. He and Florence regularly attended the Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Opera and the Tulsa Little Theater.
He made certain that his children and grandchildren had piano lessons.
Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clark is survived by his daughter Clarice and her husband Robert G. White, M.D., of Sapulpa, his son Ronald D. Clark, M.D. and his wife Renee, of Greeley, Colo.; grandchildren Robert G. White III and his wife Jean Ann, and their children Bonnie and Robert IV, of Tulsa. Robin (White) Mauldin and her husband Alan, their children Taylor and Ben, of El Reno, Susan (White) Lukeman and her husband Greg, their children Claire, John and Anna, of Tulsa, Ronald White and his wife Lisa, of Tulsa, David Tekell and his wife Angela, their children Coleman and Marshall, of Waco, Texas, Meredith (Clark) Reinert, the children Brian, Isaac and Grant, of Greeley, Colo., and John Clark and his wife Mary, of Denver, Colo.
Mr. Clark is also survived by his brothers: McClure Clark of Hobart, Alan Clark, of Amarillo, Texas, and Francis (Clark) Raymond, of Enid.
In addition to his wife Florence, who passed away in 1998, Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Glen, and a sister Dorothy (Clark) Leatherman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2003 at the First Presbyterian Church of Sapulpa, corner of Lee and Oak.

Donald B. Clark, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005 at his home with his family aorund him. Donald was born March 10, 1929 in Burbank, Calif.
He married JoAnn Deer July 7, 1950 in Tulsa. They were married 55 years. Donald had been employed for L.A. Winchell in building material sales. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church where he had served on the finance board. He had been chairman for the Creek County Republicans and has served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by one son Donald Mark Clark.

Dorothy Lenora Clark, 101, of Kellyville, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 in Tulsa.
Lenora was a member of the First Bapitst Church of Kellyville. She and her family were instrumental in the building of White City Baptist Church. She retired from Vandevers Department Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erdie Clark; father William Carroll Hogan; mother Malva Elizabeth Hogan Bell, and son Gene Clark.
Survivors include her son, Baxter Wayne Clark and his wife, Bonnie L. Fritz Clark; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Kellyville.

Fount Clark
Fount O. Clark, 86, 310 W. Taft, died today at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Del Hunnicutt officiating.
Burial will be at Lawson Cemetery in Yale.
Mr. Fount had lived in Sapulpa for the past six years after moving from Cushing. He had worked in the oil fields and had been a farmer.
He was a member of the Beams of Light Church.
Survivors include son Eugene Clark of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Helen Hunt of Sapulpa; sisters Zetta Massey of Leslie, Ark., and Zala Braun of Park Ridge, Ill.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
GARY LEE CLARK
Gary Lee Clark, 60, of Sapulpa, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001.
Gary was born Nov. 8, 1941 in Hominy to Richard Elias and Charlie Williams Clark.
Gary was a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church (Tulsa). He was a 1959 graduate of Hominy High School, where he lettered four years in football and track, was captain of the football team, president of his senior class, president of the student council and a three-year member of the National Honor Society.
He graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, in 1963, and held a BS degree with a major in physical education and a minor in social studies. While in college, he was a four-year member of the football team and spent two years in the track and field program. He was captain of the football team and the president of the Beta Chi Omega fraternity.
He was a teacher and football coach for 14 years and moved his family to Sapulpa in 1977. He bought and operated Clark Oil Distributors, Inc. from 1977 to 2001. The company is now owned by his two sons.
He was a successful businessman and a pillar of the community. Gary served on the Sapulpa School Board and was a member of the Sertoma Club. He was a caring, giving and loving father, grandfather, husband and person. He was well loved and thought of and a loyal and caring friend.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ingrid Lillan Stone Clark; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors are his wife, Suzanne Stewart Clark, of the home; sons, Mark Randale Clark of Rochester, Minn. and Jack Jim Clark and his wife, Cindy Diane Lewis Clark, of Tulsa; a granddaughter, Kayleigh Nichole Clark; two brothers, Homer Clark and Jim Clark; and a sister, Paula Clark-Hatchett.
Memorial serivces will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in the Boston Avenue Methodist Church with the Dr. Mouzon Biggs officiating. The family has requested that friends make donations to Green Country Hospice. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James Junior Clark
James Junior Clark, 73, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 5, 1929 in Depew and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Clark of Sapulpa; a grandson whom he raised, Thad and his wife Dawn Reaser of Kellyville; great-grandchildren, Justin and Savannah Reaser; brother Curtis and his wife Wanda Clark of Kellyville; sister Lorene and her husband Gene Kramer of Tulsa; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Clark officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Magnolia Ruff Clark
Mrs. Magnolia Ruff Clark ran a victorious race always enduring with charm and grace. Magnolis was the eighth child of 10 siblings. All are deceased except one sister, the baby girl, Mabel Porter, of Washington, D.C.
Magnolia was born Dec. 24, 1911 to Clem and Ella Tenesee Ruff. Magnolia attended school at Adam Hill near Brown Creek, also Slick School, in Slick.
She did a lot of traveling.
She later met Fred Clark in Las Vegas and they got married. They moved back to Sapulpa with her son Curtis Clark. They lived in Sapulpa many years, and she lost her husband a few years ago.
She loved her flowers and pets, and had very good luck with trees and flowers. Magnolia found rest beyond the river Tuesday morning Feb. 22, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings C.D., Ophelia, Virginia, Jessie Mae, C.M., Laura, Lucille and Beaulah.
Remaining to wait on the Lord are one son Curtis Clark and his wife Rhonda Potter; one daughter Michelle Clark; grandchildren Jeweldean Goodman, Curtis Clark Jr., and Caleb Clark; one sister Mabel Porter, of Washington, D.C. and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me."
With tearful eye we watched and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating hard, working hands at reast. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
The years will wipe out many things but this they wipe out never. The precious memories of the happy days when we're all together.

Vera Mae Clark
Vera Mae Clark, of Sapulpa, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at St. John Medical Center, in Tulsa, at the age of 79.
Mrs. Clark was born May 14, 1925 in Bixby and had lived in Sapulpa most all of her life.
She was a charter member of the June Rose Assembly of God Church; was very active in her church; loved fishing and flower gardening.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Martha Roberts and one brother R. J. Roberts.

Thelma Lister Clay, of Bristow, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at her home at the age of 72.
Thelma was born Jan. 6, 1933 in Tulsa to Louie and Lena Brown Lister. She had lived in the Sapulpa and Bristow area all of her life. She was married to Grant Alfred Clay Jr., and was a homemaker and member of the Free Will Baptist Faith.

Jimmie Kathrynn Clayton
Jimmie Kathrynn Clayton went to be with our heavenly Lord on March 13, 2005. She was born Aug. 11, 1928 in Lonewolf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 59 years; three children; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters and many more family and friends.
She met the love of her life, Jimmie Clayton, at the age of 17 in Pawnee. They remained best friends, soul mates and the love of each other's lives for the next 59 years. They had three children: Linda and Paul Farris, of Sapulpa, Patricia and Ron Morgan, of Sapulpa, and Mike and Teresa Clayton, of Bixby.
She loved all of her grandchildren dearly and was an important part of their daily lives. They include: Danny and Sherri Dunbar, of Tulsa; Jeff and Vanessa Kusler, of Broken Arrow; Stefanie and Mark Gilbert, of Sapulpa; Kimberly Kulser, of Tulsa; and Boudey Clayton, of Sapulpa.
She was happiest when she could spend time with any of her seven great-grandchildren and she was proud of each one's accomplishments and activities.
Jimmie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was our foundation, and her love meant more to us than anyone will know. She was always ready to go fishing and she could always out fish Papa. She was always eager to help a friend or relative with whatever life brought, and usually had the wisest answers and the largest shoulder to lean on. She lived her life to the fullest and never missed a chance to have a family get together full of food, fun and an occasional game of cards. She meant the world to us all, and we will miss her so much.
We know you are with your family and friends now before God, but we will think of you every day and until we meet again. We love you and will miss you dearly.

Merl David Clemans Sr., 60, of Sapulpa, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Mr. Clemans was born March 21, 1943 in Red Bluff, Calif.
He had lived in Sapulpa since 1980. He married Barbara Jean Waltrip on Dec. 24, 1966. He retired from Bartlett-Collins Glass Company. He was a member of the West Side Free Will Baptist Church.
