MADDUX -- Virginia Frances Endres, 81, of Tulsa, died on Thursday, December 2, 2004. Virginia was born on August 24, 1923 in Sapulpa, OK, to Nick Edward and Elzada (Beesley) Endres. She married Albert R. "Bud" Maddux on June 26, 1944. Virginia was a member of Memorial Park Christian Church and former member of East Tulsa Christian Church. In the early 1970's, Virginia was Secretary at Valley View Christian Church in Dallas, TX. She also enjoyed volunteering at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bud. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory sons, Gary Maddux of Farmersville, TX and Larry Maddux and his wife, Jennifer of Farmers Branch, TX; step-daughters, Mary Brazeal and her husband, Charles of Collinsville, OK and Beatrice Keith of Olive, OK; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Helen Parish, Verna Hendrick, Faye Endres, Charles Endres, Evolia Gray, Kenneth Endres, and Dee Spenser, all of the Tulsa area. JAMES CARL MADEWELL

James Carl Madewell passed away in Tulsa on Dec. 7, 2003 at the age of 77. He was born May 5, 1926 in Latimer County. He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Madewell and Meade Cooper Madewell.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Delores Madewell, whom he married Sept. 19, 1968 in Miami, Okla. They made their home in the community of Berryhill until 1997 when they moved to Sapulpa.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 627 for 56 years (1947-2003). Carl was well known as a skilled craftsman. He enjoyed repairing and building clocks, repairing victrolas and antique fans. His favorite pastime was going to his place in the Kiamichi Mountains. He enjoyed his family, his hobbies and life in general.

Carl is also survived by his four brothers, William, Bob, John and Jack; two sisters, Doris and Geraldine; two sons, Monte and wife, Susan Madewell, of Warner, and Gary and wife, Cheri Madewell, of Tulsa; daughter, Sheila and husband, Jared Bottoms, of Vinita; stepson, Randy Gibson and his wife, Linda, of Tulsa; stepdaughter, Gena Johnson, of Vider, Texas; five grandchildren, Mindy Madewell, Martin Madewell, Whitney Madewell, Travis Madewell and Jace Bottoms; five stepgrandchildren, Steven Gibson, Sara Gibson, Jerry Hunteman, Michelle Hunteman and LeAnn Johnson; two step-great-grandchildren, William Gibson and Taylor Marie Watts and a host of friends.

Carl was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Services are set for 3:30 p.m. today at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at South Heights Cemetery with the Rev. Ira Bennett officiating.

The family has entrusted the care of the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.

John L. Madewell

John L. Madewell passed away Monday, April 10, 2004 at the age of 62. He was born May 7, 1941 to Thomas Jefferson Madewell and Alameda Cooper Madewell in Bengal.

John retired at the age of 55 from many years as a crane operator. He also owned and operated his own business. He was loved and well liked by all who knew him

John is survived by his loving children, Randall Lee, Steven Douglas and Keith Allen Madewell; three brothers, William Dean, Bobby Leon and Jackie Eugene; two sisters, Doris Spears and Geraldine Shropshire; and grandchildren Katland Madewell, Sabrina Madewell and Derrick Madewell.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2004 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs.

The family has chosen to entrust the care of the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.

Michael "Mike" Magee, 50, of Mounds, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at St. John Sapulpa. Michael was born July 9, 1954 in Sapulpa and had lived in Mounds all of his life. He was a graduate of Mounds High School. He had been employed for the Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents Artist Keith and Ethel Beasley Magee.

Survivors are one sister, Patty Sue Johnson, of Mounds.

Graveside services for Mike are 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Duck Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Lisa Weins officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Darlene Magner

Darlene Magner, of Mounds, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 70. She was born Feb. 12, 1934 in Mounds.

She had lived in Mounds, Coffeeville (Coffeyville), Kan., Pryor and Okay. She was born and raised in Mounds where she graduated high school. She was a member of the Mounds Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and Rebeccas. She had been a secretary for the First Bank of Tulsa and Mounds Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Magner, in October 2002 and her parents, Arthur Wilson and Velma Maxey Wilson.

Survivors are her stepson, Monty Magner, of Neodesha, Kan.; grandchildren Brandy Magner and Samantha Magner, and niece Cindy Simons, of Mounds.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2004 in the Mounds First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dick Knox officiating. Interement will follow in the Mounds Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Donald Burgess, Ed Smith, L.O. McNabb and Junior Wilborn.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SANFORD MACK MAIN

Sanford Mack Main, 94, of Mounds, passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Sanford was born Feb. 12, 1909 in Clifty, Ark. to John Henry and Maggie Laudette Main. Sanford had lived in Mounds for 50 years and the last four and a half years he had lived in the Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa.

He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Mounds Assembly of God Church. His hobbies were gardening and playing musical instruments including the harmonica, guitar and piano.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara Alice Main, on Nov. 14, 1998, and one son, Donald Main.

Survivors are his children, Danny Main, of Sapulpa, Michael Main, of Mounds, Dorothy Southerland, of Sapulpa, Violet Lukins of Falls City, Ore., Gwendolyn Mays, of Sapulpa, Sandra Cannon, of Norman, and Marcia Duncan, of Norman; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 in the North Heights Holiness Church with the Rev. Kenneth Creason officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens (Sapulpa) under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Anthony (Ripper) Harvey, David Hinch, Randy Hunt, Tony Lawson Jr., Wayne Main and Jimmy Duncan.

Honorary bearers will be Carl Southerland and Gayland Cannon.

Ralph W. Maloney died tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 75.

Mr. Maloney was born Jan, 18, 1929, in Burrough of Madison in New Jersey; he had lived in Sapulpa for the past 13 years moving here from Del City; he was married to Edna Ornduff in Dec. of 1969. Mr. Maloney was retired from the U.S. Air Force and had served in the Korean Conflict; he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Giddeons.

Survivors are his wife Edna of the home; children Tim Maloney and wife Melody, of Overland Park, Kan., Mike Maloney and wife Sandy of Yorba Linda, Calif., Lisa Cummings of Newton, N.C., James Moss and wife Shirley, of Sapulpa, Susie Prado and husband John, of San Antonio, Texas and Richard Grace, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Shane Maloney, John Pardo, Jr., Jeff Prado, Craig Moss and wife Debbie, Jennifer Cummings and Josh Cummings; one great-grandchild Kaylie Moss.

Funeral services for Mr. Maloney have been set for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004 in the First Presbyterian Church with interment to be in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Ricky Eugene Marcum, of Sapulpa, died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 55. Ricky was born March 3, 1949 in Los Angeles. He was a veteran of the U.S.M.C. having served in Vietnam. He was a sand blaster, a painter and a Baptist.

Survivors are his wife Donna; sons Chance Marcum and Cash Marcum; father Eugene P. Marcum, of Arizona, and Anne Turner Morris, of Sapulpa; brother Dennis Marcum; and sister Lori Shepherd.

ROBERT MARSEY

Robert Marsey, 85, passed away Dec. 14, 2003 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was a full blood Alabama Creek Indian and a life long resident of Sapulpa.

He had been born Nov. 8, 1918 in Wetumka, to Kezzie (Yarmer) Marsey and Lumsey Marsey.

He is survived by wife Maggie (Cumsey), of 64 years of marriage; daughter Judy (Marsey) Sarniento; three grandsons, Stephen Sarniento, Robby Sarniento, and Nathan Pickering; one granddaughter Elizabeth Pickering; nine great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He attended school at Euchee Mission and Sapulpa High School. He played football at Sapulpa on the Championship team of 1936 and 1937. He attended Bacone Indian College and Tulsa University. He joined the Navy in 1942 during World War II and served for three years. He started his boxing career at Euchee Mission and boxed at Bacone and in the Navy. After the Navy, he boxed in Oklahoma, Texas, and New York City at Madison Square Garden. After he retired from boxing he began training young men from around the Sapulpa and Okmulgee area.

They traveled around Oklahoma and Kansas to box.

He belonged to the registered Duroc Swine Association. He was a hog farmer for thirty years, where he received numerous awards. He worked at Wickham Packing Plant for many years and was a State Meat Inspector.

Smith Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Wake services will be tonight 7:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pickett Chapel Methodist Church. He will be buried at home.

Pallbearers are Sonny Harjo, James Harjo, Morris Harjo, Raymond Bevenue, Calvin Marsey and John Patsetopah.

Honorary Pallbearers Stephen Sarniento, Robby Sarniento, Nathan Pickering, Robby Glen Sarniento, and Taylum Perez.

Curt W. Martin, of Bartlesville and formerly of Sapulpa, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 at St. John Medical Center at the age of 29.

He was born Dec. 26, 1974 in Chickasha. He was a graduate of Sapulpa High School and attended Oklahoma State University. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and was a musician and a member of the band "Three Strange Days."

Survivors are his father, Curtis Martin and mother and step mother, Lesta Martin, of Choctaw; brother Davin Martin and wife, Armanda, of Fort Worth; step brother, Drew Whittaker and wife, Brandy, of Sapulpa; grandparents, Emma Lou Martin, of Choctaw, and Winfred Ritter, of Moore; niece Barth Whittaker, of Choctaw; aunts, Denise Baker, of Norman and David and Dana Blue, of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Martin.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jeffrey Gunter officiating. For friends who wish the family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Lloyd Martin

Lloyd Martin passed away on Monday, April 26, 2004 at the age of 59.

He was born to Eldred Gordon Martin and Endres Favot on March 13, 1945 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Lloyd worked for Bartlett Collins for 12 years. He always had a sense of humor and loved playing golf.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Brooks; son Brooks Martin and his wife, Dawn, and their daughters Mackenzie and Isabella; daughter Michelle Hetherington and her husband, Greg, and their children Madison and Maxx.

Lloyd was loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service is set for 7:30 p.m. today, April 28, 2004 at the Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff London officiating.

Norma "Jeanne" Martin (Haskins), at age 66, of Sapulpa, went to be with our Lord Jesus at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 1, 1938 in Seminole to Okie Belle and Adler Hughey Haskins.

She was married to Ronald W. Martin, of Sapulpa, on Dec. 28, 1956. They have ministered in churches all over Oklahoma and Texas for the past 47 years. Their current ministry is at Riverside Baptist Church in Tulsa where Jeanne has been the organist for the past 10 years.

Before serving at Riverside Baptist, she was the organist at First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. She worked at First Baptist Church Tulsa until December of 2003 serving as the secretary to adult eduction. Jeanne was well known as a costume designer and seamstress for many of the area dance studios as well as designing banners for First United Methodist Church in Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Adler and Clifford and a sister Faye Clinkenbeard.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Ron; her children Ronnie Jr., of Tulsa, Becky Martin, of Edmond, Jon and Sarah Martin, of Broken Arrow, and Tami and Dr. Gabriel Matney, of Fort Smith, Ark.; and her eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Sapulpa at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Paul E. Martin, of Langley, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 70. Mr. Martin was born Nov. 18, 1934 in Shawnee. He had lived in Langley for the past year moving there from Sapulpa where he had lived for more than 25 years.

He was married to Jill Dickerson on Nov. 4, 1961 in Tulsa. He was the former owner of Paul's Signs. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ponca City. He was a member of the Akdar Shrine and was past president of the Shrine Directors Association of North America. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors are his wife Jill, of the home; brothers and sister Frank Martin and wife Sharlene, of Bartlesville, Donnie Martin and wife Margaret, of Coweta, Lou Edmonds and husband Chuck, of Antioch, Calif., Ben Martin and wife Helen, of Owasso, Bill Martin and wife Mary, of Chouteau, Jimmy Martin and wife Brenda, of Houston, Bobby Martin and wife Cindy, of Langley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Pryor officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs.

Serving as casket bearers will be Lou Busby, Jim Edmonson, Paul Smith, Don Scott, Chuck Fitch and Gordon Patten.

Honorary bearers will be Jack Stice, Bob Young, Welden Reynolds, Oscar Groom, David Shell, Dwight Mesnard, Chuck Horton and Clyde Dorsey.

She attended school at Goodland and Chilocco Indian School and Red Oak school. She retired from the Tulsa World this year after seven years of service.

Wynema Marie Burgess Mathews, of Kiefer, passed away July 24, 2004 to meet her grandson Kyle Mathews in heaven. She was born May 23, 1933 in Hitchita. She was 71 years old. Wynema married Carroll L. Mathews April 12, 1951.

Wynema was a homemaker who was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Wynema is survived by her beloved husband Carroll L. Mathews; their sons Wyman Mathews, Wayne Mathews and his wife Ginger; grandchildren Melanie Thorne and husband Jot and Jennifer Mathews; brothers Edward Deckard and his wife Gwen, Jimmy Sessions and wife Doris; sisters Maxine Battice and her husband, Silver, and Lahoma Sikes and many nieces and nephews.

Her total interest was her family and grandchildren. She loved to plant and had a lot of flowers, gradening and house plants. She loved watching OU football games and loved watching her sons and grandchildren play little league and high school sports. She loved cookouts for all family members and they will miss her good cooking and cookouts. She was always giving a helping hand to less fortunate senior citizens. She was of the Baptist faith and everyone who knew her truly loved her. She truly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Howard Burton will officiate. Willie Inez Mayberry was born in DeKalb, Texas on June 29, 1910 and ascended into the glory of her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2002 surrounded by her adoring family members at her home near Chandler at the age of 92.

She was the daughter of William James and Bettie Algerane (Skidmore) Sides.

She has lived a quality life for over 92 years. She married William (Bill) Mayberry on Aug. 29, 1933 in Norman.

Theirs was a love affair, bound by God that was an inspiration to all who knew them.

At the time of her husband's death, just two months ago, they had been married 68 years.

Her main goal was taking good care of her husband, children, grandchildren and the rest of her family.

All of her grandchildren and others that were around her later in life called her "Nannie."

Her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Survivors are two sons Edward Mayberry of Meeker and Randall Mayberry of Sapulpa; one daughter, Betty Matheson of Chandler; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Star Valley Cemetery near Chandler with the Rev. Rickey Musgrove officiating.

Betty Lorraine Maynard

Betty Lorraine Maynard, of Sapulpa, stepped from time into eternity with Jesus on Jan. 10, 2005 at the age of 77.

She was a beloved wife and mother, a retired executive secretary for the Sapulpa School System and a former music instructor. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 30 years and served as organist for several of those years. For the last 22 years she has been involved with Vanguard Ministries, also serving the Lord through her music. She was a past president of Women's Aglow, was on the Board of Directors of Sapulpa Women's Chamber of Commerce, and a past president of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

Lorraine was born Sept. 19, 1927 in Tulsa to Loren and Mildred Ness. She became a Christian as a child and has lived a life faithful to that belief.

She is survived by her husband George Maynard. They moved to Sapulpa in 1952 and have been married for 56 years.

Other survivors include daughters Cheryl Terrell, Gloria Turner and son-in-law Terry Turner, and Donna Vincillione and son-in-law Butch Vincillione, all of Edmond; one brother, Don Ness, married to Johnna Ness, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Brian Terrell, Adam Terrell, Carrie Lorenz, Joshua Turner, Jacob Turner, Luke Hurt, Jess Davis and Hannah Allen; step-grandchildren Andria Vincillione and Jessica Vincillione; and great-grandchildren Ethan, Basia and Abigail.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thur5sday, Jan. 13, 2005 at the Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa.

Paul Lyle Melleberger

Paul Lyle Mellenberger went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 26, 2002. He was born on Sept. 11, 1918.

He married Zola Johnson on Aug. 23, 1938.

Mr. Mellenberger had a very special, close connection with his nephew, Jerry Mellenberger, of Sapulpa, who helped him in his meat business and was his fishing buddy. He could not have made it without Jerry. He became Jerry's surrogate father after Jerry's father passed away.

He was a prominent business man in the Creek County area. He owned and operated Mellenberger Meats in Kiefer until he retired last year.

He also was a retired minister who did ministry in the Creek County area for 50 years. He was greatly respected for his love for Jesus and his work in the meat business.

His father, Fred Mellenberger, and his mother, Rose Dymond, both preceded him in death, along with his daughter, Barbara Mellenberger.

He is survived by one daughter, Ramona Carnes and her husband, Larry; grandchildren Debbie Keeton, Glenna Cole of Sand Springs, Lisa Worthington of Colorado, Chris and Caleb Keeton, Michelle Fennell, Matt and Marissa Carnes of Sand Springs, Mitchell Cole of Sand Springs and Natalea Worthington of Colorado; brother Jim Dymond of Texas; great great grandchildren Tori and Abby Kay of Sand Springs; nieces and nephews Clyde Johnston, Fred Johnston, Janice Raby, Iris Widger, LaNell Cue, Jerry Mellenberger, Maxine Acree, Brenda O'Neal, Mel Westbrook, Gary Westbrook, Brian Westbrook, Kathy Kehler and Judy Bruton Cryon.

Mamie Doll Messer, of Sapulpa, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003 at the Hillcrest Medical Center at the age of 92 years, four months and nine days. Mamie was born June 22, 1911 in Butterfield, Mo.

She married Ellis Edward Messer on Oct. 17, 1928. To this union was born three children, Daisy Jane James, Virginia Hammond, and Ellis Edward Messer, Jr.

Mamie was preceded in death by her husband in 1959; parents, Arthur Guy Thomas and Daisy Blanche Russell Thomas and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her three children, Daisy Jane James, of Prattville, Virginia Hammond, of Stilwell, and Ellis Edward Messer, of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Virginia Kay Scouten, Floyd A. Hammond III, Clinton Earl Hammond, Jane Gayle Pitre, Robert Leon Hammond, Michelle Messer, Stephanie Lindsay and Ellis Edward Messer III and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Messer had worked for Oral Roberts University as a house mother for 15 years before retiring in 1967 and thereafter she was a homemaker. She had lived in Sapulpa for 76 years and was a member of the West Tulsa Free Holiness Church.

Funeral services have been set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2003 in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Smith, the Rev. Aaron Hughes and the Rev. Floyd Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Kellyville Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Servicing as casketbearers will be Clinton Hammond, Floyd Hammond IV, Robert Hammond, Ellis Messer III, Jimmy Messer and Donald Thomas.

Curtis is survived by his loving companion Jerri Carlock; son Curtis Todd Meyers; daughter Brooke Michelle Meyers, of Broken Arrow; mother Elizabeth May Meyers; sister Tamara and husband Chris Hopper; one nephew Colby Hopper; one niece Kearstin Hopper, all of Sapulpa, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father Estel Eugene Meyers; brother Robert Eugene Meyers; grandparents Andrew and May Meyers and Hannon and Sara Colby.

Curtis graduated from Kellyville High School in 1988 where he enjoyed playing football and participating in FFA. He was employed by Sagebrush. Curtis loved and enjoyed spending time with his children and teaching them his love for cattle and showing.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the Church of the First Born in Sapulpa. Interment will follow in South Heights Cemetery.

Judith Ann Migliacco, of Sapulpa, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004 at the age of 61. Judith was born Nov. 23, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pa.

She was raised in Hamilton, N.J. where she graduated from Hammonton High School. She attended the University of Miami, Fla. She married John Migliacco and raised her three children. She also managed an apartment building and sold real estate and operated a dog grooming business among other projects.

She moved to Tulsa in 1991 from Leavenworth, Kan. and returned to the Sapulpa area in 2001. Judith loved reading, caring for animals and people. Judy will always be remembered by her family and all those she had helped through the years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Migliacco have been set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glen Hood officiating. Interment will follow in South Heights Cemetery.

Survivors are her sons John and Michael and daughter Denna Trammel and husband Bill; grandchildren Max Trammel, Cody Migliacco, Heather and Lidsey Migliacco; and sister Barbara Longwith.

She was preceded in death by brother Robert Abba.

Everett Miller

Everett Miller, of Sapulpa, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 at Saint John Medical Center at the age of 93. Mr. Miller was born April 1, 1911 in Boliva, Mo. and had been a Sapulpa resident most all of his life. He had been a code welder and a rancher, member of the Free Will Baptist Church and was a family man.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife Violet in 1999; twin brother Emmitt; and brothers Dwight, Dolph, Joe and Wes.

Survivors are his children Jimmy Miller and wife Charlote, daughters Jo Powell, Jan and Tommy Moore, Fay DeWitt, Kay Newport, Peggy and B.J. Woody, and Winnie Dee Pitmon; many grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller have been set for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004 in the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Lindsay and the Rev. W.C. Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

CANCER CLAIMS HELEN MILLER

Mrs. Helen Miller, 58, well-known Sapulpan, died at 7 p.m. Monday at Oklahoma Osteopathic hospital, Tulsa, where she had been hospitalized four weeks. She was a victim of cancer.

Mrs. Miller had been clerk of Sapulpa board of education for 15 years and held that position at the time of her death.

She was the wife of Clarence Miller, owner of Miller Hardware store, 13 East Dewey.

Born in Collinsville, Okla., Oct. 8, 1906, Mrs. Miller moved to Sapulpa with her parents when only a few months old in January of 1907.

She was a member of First Methodist church, Victory Sunday school class, Wesleyan Service Guild, past matron Radiant chapter, Eastern Star and past president of Emanem club.

Besides the husband of the home, 210 S. Mounds, she is survived by two sons, David, who is serving with the U.S. Navy and is at sea; and Bill, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Henry, Houston, Tex.; Mrs. Venna Flegal, Enid; Mrs. Pearl Cooper, LaVilla, Tex.; and a brother, Rev. Vern Ray of Oglesby, Okla.

Funeral services were held Thursday.

VENNIE HOLDEN MILLER

Vennie Holden Miller, 92, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 in Sapulpa.

She was born Sept. 3, 1911 in Hugo to J.D. Holden and Minnie Adams Holden.

Vinnie married Chester Miller on Nov. 7, 1945. They owned and operated Miller's Grocery Store in Sapulpa throughout the 60s. Mrs. Miller then worked at the Baptist Children's Home in Oklahoma City for several years.

Vennie was a resident of Sapulpa for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sapulpa where she taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her husband in July 1976; her stepson, Paul Miller, one daughter, Martha; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one son, Terry Miller, of Round Rock, Texas, and his wife Camella; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Murray; one brother, Don Holden; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Coop.

Mrs. Miller's positive attitude about life and living each day to the fullest influenced many of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Sapulpa with interment at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa.

Bonnie Marie Minney

Bonnie Marie Minney, 66, passed from this life on Sept. 15, 2004 in Tulsa. She was born Jan. 16, 1938 in Flippen, Ark., to Alfred and Maudie King.

She married Willie Minney on April 18, 1958 in Sapulpa and together they had four children. She was a member of Calvary Heights Assembly of God in Sand Springs and enjoyed attending until her illness kept her away. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie, parents Alred and Maudie King and brother Fred King.

She is survived by her children Earl and Sheila Minney, Allen and Laura Minney, Doris and Shann Doane, and Brenda and Kenny Wheeler, all of Sapulpa; and sister Kathy Williams of Maysville. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who she enjoyed spending time with.

The family would like to thank all those who were so supportive during this difficult time. A very special thank you to the Odessey hospice group and the seventh tower nursing staff of Hillcrest who cared for Bonnie during her illness.

She was truly blessed to have such wonderful friends to have passed throug her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for her.

Her eight grandsons will serve as casket bearers.

Funeral services have been set for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2004 at Victory Assembly of God in Sand Springs with Rev. Kenn Watson officiating.

The family has entrusted the care of the services to the directors at Mobley Dodson Funeral Home in Sand Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Frances R. Minor

Frances R. Minor, 83, passed away at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home on April 2, 2004.

She was born September 14, 1920 in Butler County, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Minor in 1960, her mother and father, Hugh and Irene Gray, and her brothers, Howard and Hugh Gray.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Lois Gray of Coweta, sister-in-law Tharon Gray, of Blue Springs, Mo., and sister-in-law Verna Gray, of Sapulpa.

She will be buried in the Osawatamie Cemetery in Osawatamie, Kansas. No services are planned.

Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Minton

Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Minton was born in Tulsa on Feb. 13, 1957 to Leah and John Robert Minton. He was the youngest of 12 children. Saturday morning, June 19, 2004, he was reunited in heaven with his parents and three brothers, Donald, Mike and Bobby.

Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared a passion for the races with many of his family members. In the early 1990s, Ronnie ran mini stock No. 100 then No. 57 in the mid 1990s at the Creek County Speedway.

He is survived by his children, one daughter Shelah Ahmed, two sons Dean and Jason, one step daughter, Amy Wilson, all of Tulsa; one granddaughter Aallyah Alexus Ahmed, one sister Florence Scroggins, of Mannford; seven brothers Kenneth of Drumright, Jim, of Skiatook, Richard, of Tulsa, Jerry, of Sperry, Terry, of Tulsa, Virgil, of Minco, Jack, of Kellyville and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at Terlton Cemetery in Terlton Tuesday, June 22, 2004. The Rev. Harold Bell officiated under direction of MidTown Tulsa Chapel.

He stepped out on a bridge constructed by satan's cancer.

Where it led, how long the span, we didn't have an answer.

The way was hard, the construction poor.

He reached for God's hand and stepped through Heaven's door.

Berneyce M. Mitchell, of Sapulpa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at the age of 88 years and three days.

She was born in Marshall to William and Mabel Winburn Dec. 3, 1915. Berneyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Meeks, in 1972. She married Donnie Mitchell in April 1974 and he preceded her in death in June 2003. She was also preceded in death by both her parents and one brother, Earl Winburn.

She is survived by one sister, Wilma Franklin, of Enid.

She was a "special mom" to Steven Don Mitchell, and wife, Cathy, of Sapulpa; two granddaughters, Heather Mitchell, of Sapulpa, and CPL Amber Mitchell Szymanski, of Camp Lejuene, N.C.

She also leaves behind a host of family and friends who loved her very much.

Grandma Bea we will miss you very much.

Services have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Enid.

Donnie A. Mitchell

Donnie A. Mitchell, 74, of Claremore, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003, in the Claremore Veterans Center.

Donnie was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Enid and moved to Claremore 14 years ago. He married his wife, Berneyce, on April 6, 1974.

Mr. Mitchell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. While in the Army he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

Mr. Mitchell was a barber for most of his life, having worked at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Waukomis and Drummond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Mitchell and Evelyn Grant Mitchell, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his loving wife, Berneyce; son Steven Mitchell and his wife Cathy, of Sapulpa; stepdaughters Kathryn McMahan and Sherri McMahan, both of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Heather Mitchell, of Sapulpa, and Cpl. Amber Mitchell Szymanski, of Camp LeJeune, N.C.; and brothers Robert Mitchell, of Seattle, Wash., and Fred Mitchell, of Enid.

Graveside services for Donnie have been set for noon Monday in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid with Maj. Jerry Sweptson officiating. The Sapulpa High School Junior Marine ROTC will accord military rites at the service.

Judith Ann Mitchell of Tulsa died Friday, March 1, 2002, at the age of 49.

Judith was born on June 30, 1951 in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a graduate of Sapulpa High School and a Baptist.

Survivors are her parents, Ann and John Morris and Eugene and Wanda Marcum; children, Tiffany Hoover of Sapulpa, Sadie Mitchell of Grove and Christopher Hancock of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren Alexis South, Hayden Hargis, Nathan Hancock, MacKenzey Hoover and Stephen Hoover; brothers and sisters, Lauri Diehl, Dennis Marcum, Rick Marcum, John David Morris and Jerry Wayne Morris.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Lowe officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa.

Serving as casketbearers will be Linny Walker, Stephen Wright, Kevin Hoover, Kevin Diehl, John David Morris, and Jerry Wayne Morris.

The family will headquarter at the Morris residence, located at 1329 E. Dewey.
