TABER, Claude Buford "Jack" - Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the Bethany Holiness Church with the Rev. Tommy Toliver and the Rev. Darrell Toliver officiating.

Interment will follow at Friendship Freewill Baptist Mission Cemetery in Mannford.

Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home of Sand Springs will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Taber, 82, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Claremore.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1919, in Haskell to Edward Elias and Lenora Ethel (Grant) Taber.

He was a World War II Army Veteran and received the EAME Service Ribbon, a Silver Service Star, and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was retired from Liberty Glass Plant and was a member of the Bethany Holiness Church.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Edward and Tammy Taber of Oklahoma, stepdaughter Sandra Cassady and husband Terry of Tulsa, stepson Danny Ward of Texas, brothers Lloyd and Floyd Taber, both of Sand Springs, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

DARLENE TATE

Darlene Tate, 53, was born Nov. 29, 1949 in Bristow to Noah and Irene Parkinson. She died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003 at 7:21 p.m. in Tulsa.

She graduated from Northeastern State University in 1978. She married John W. Tate in March 1983.

She spent most of her career as a social worker at DHS.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Parkinson.

She is survived by three children, Jeff, Jennifer and John "Sonny"; sister, Joyce Reynolds, and mother, Irene Parkinson.

A short service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa. Burial will be in the family's cemetery south of Depew.

Edith Marie Taylor

Edith Marie Taylor was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Braggs to Steven Kelly and Martha (Stockton) Whitehouse. She departed this life on Saturday, May 31, 2003, in Sapulpa, Okla., at the age of 83 years, four months, and five days.

Mrs. Taylor was united in marriage to Audie Boyd Taylor on May 6, 1967, in Cushing. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1993.

Mrs. Taylor was a Sapulpa resident, having lived there for the last 10 years. She moved there from Bristow, where she had been a resident since 1967. Prior to living in Bristow, she had lived in Sapulpa.

Mrs. Taylor worked for over 15 years as a cook for Sapulpa schools. She also had worked for Bristow Memorial Hospital for several years as a housekeeper.

She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening. Mrs. Taylor also had a love for animals, especially dogs, birds and horses.

She is survived by one son, Millard C. Pickering and wife, Susan, of Sapulpa; two daughters, Hazel Thornton, of Bristow, and Edna DeGraffenreid, of Oakhurst; one brother, Troy Whitehouse, of Bristow; one sister, Ruby Smith, of Sapulpa; ten grandchildren; Kim Shepard, Cheryl Bilby, James Ernst, David Ernst, Robert Cope, James Cope, Paul Thornton, Keith Thornton, Lewis Thornton and Richard Thornton; 23 great-grandchildren; her best friend, Gidget, her dog; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, James Berryhill, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at the Countryside Church of Christ, located approximately two miles east of Bristow on Highway 66 on the north side of the road. The Rev. Steve Summers will officiate with interment following at Bristow City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home in Bristow.

The family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Tulsa, Green Country Chapter, 6465 S. Yale, Suite 811, Tulsa, OK 74136-7810.

ELIZABETH ANN TAYLOR

Elizabeth Ann Taylor, of Sapulpa, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 67.

Elizabeth was born April 12, 1936, in McIntosh County, and had lived in Sapulpa since 1971.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of Henryetta High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill G. Taylor, on Feb. 1, 1997.

Survivors are her children, Terry Ogburn and his wife, Donna, of Chickasha, Lester Ogburn, of Sapulpa, Hal Ogburn and his wife, Marcene, of Tuttle, Teddy Ogburn and his wife, Donna, Keith Ogburn and his wife, Donna, of Broken Arrow, James Ogburn, of Tulsa and Lana Holmes and her husband, Randy, of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brother Barney Been and his wife, Pat of Oklahoma City; sisters Wanda Haley and her husband, Tandy, of Henryetta, and Delores Moore, of Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor have been set for 10 a.m. Monday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Lynn officiating.

Interment will follow in the South Heights Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

George W. "Bill" Taylor

George W. "Bill" Taylor, 86, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 16, 1917 to John Clyde and Norma (Perkins) Taylor at Sapulpa.

George attended Sapulpa Schools and graduated in 1935. He also had two years extended education at Sapulpa and two years at a junior college there. George graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army July 27, 1945. He was a sergeant in the 413 Infantry Co. G.

George is survived by his siter Helen (Taylor) Fullbright, of Muskogee.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother John Clyde and Norma Taylor, his grandparents George and Ida Perkins and George and Sarah Taylor.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Bethany Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Wirt Skinner. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2004 officiated by the Rev. John Nelson at South Heights Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa.

George Taylor was an electrical engineer for National Geo Physical Co., working in various states including Canada, Alaska and Australia. He retired in Houston. He was a faithful Christian and a member of the Presbyterian Church everywhere he lived. George was respected as a friend and brothers. George was interested in many subjects.

Kenneth Ross Taylor, 82, of Tulsa, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at St. John Hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1923 in Beech Grove, Ky.

He was the manager of manufacturing for Don R. Hinderliter for 22 years. He later became owner of Taylor Manufacturing.

He was a member of Yale Avenue Christian Church and served in the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor shipyards.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde L. and Georgie Taylor; son Alan Ross Taylor; daughter Ann Marie Farrar; and grandchildren Jason and Justin Farrar and Micah Taylor.

Survivors are his wife Tommie; children Mack Taylor and wife Robin, of Sapulpa; sister Joyce Considine; brother C.L. Taylor; and grandchildren Shannon Taylor and Julia Monkress.

Funeral services are Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Yale Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa with the Rev. Mike Albert officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.

Ruby was preceded in death by her two children George Dale Taylor Jr. in 1945 and Kay Marie Taylor in 1947; her husband Dale Taylor in 1993; sisters Gladys Lovell, Hattie Birdsong and Katherine Nation and her brother Edward Hubbard.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Perry Markham, of Lawton; granddaughter Rhonda McFarland and husband Kelly, of Jenks; grandson Jeff Markham and wife Carrie, of Lawton; great-grandchildren Thomas and Tyler Patterson and Lane and Lilly Markham; sisters Pearl Baker, of Grants Pass, Ore., Dorothy Keifer and Marietta Bridgeman, of Sapulpa, and Margaret Lusk, of Yukon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, April Leigh Tennison.

Mr. Tessier was born Sept. 7, 1946 in California and had lived in Sapulpa for the past 10 years.

He was a construction worker and has served in the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Judi Paylor Tessier.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2002 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Griffin officiating.

Interment will be in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Born December 9, 1928 in Drumright, OK to Oscar Vivien Loveland and Bessie LouEllen Loveland. Billy Thomas was raised in Drumright and later moved to Tulsa where she graduated from Central High School. On August 9, 1947 she wed businessman and WWII Veteran, Paul Wayne Thomas, Sr. of Pawnee, OK who preceded her in death in 1997 after nearly 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Thomas resided in Pawnee her entire married life. She was active in the First United Methodist Church, American Red Cross and Pawnee County Historical Society. Survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 brothers. In addition to her husband Paul, Billie Thomas was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 19 at Pawnee's First United Methodist Church with Pastor, the Rev. Susan Ross officiating. Doug Thomas, 41, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2005 in Kellyville. He was born May 10, 1964, the son of Gordon Thomas and Shirley McLaughlin Thomas, in Tulsa.

Doug attended school in Kellyville and Sapulpa High School. He loved his work running heavy equipment and the seven years he served on the Sapulpa Fire Department.

Those gone before him are his father, Gordon Thomas, and his grandparents.

Those surviving him are his mother and stepfather, Marvin and Shirley Cozbey, of Locust Grove; daughter and son-in-law Tanya and Craig Hutchins, of Kellyville; daughter and son Chelsea and Aaron Thomas, of Port Orchard, Wash.; and daughter Kyra Thomas, of Kingston, Wash.; grandchildren Madison, Hayden and Alex Hutchins, of Kellyville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2005 at the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Chapel in Sand Springs.

Honorary pallbearers will include Chester McLaughlin, Tracy Keizor, James Kame, Kenny Tunnell, Vernon Chisum and Craig Hutchins.

The family will gather at the home of Tanya and Craig Hutchins, 207 S. Ash St. in Kellyville after the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.

Charles Robert Thompson

Charles Robert Thompson went home to be with the Lord Aug. 26, 2004. He was born Nov. 3, 1923 to Ben and Hattie Thompson and had lived in Sapulpa all his life except for the four years he spent in the Army with the 96th Infantry Division during World War II.

Bob was a member of the First Christian Church and Commander of the Firing Squad for the DAV for several years. He was a member of the VFW Sapulpa and a lifetime member of the DAV. He worked as a brick mason for more than 50 years with Local No. 5, of Oklahoma City. While he was a brick mason he worked on numerous buildings in Tulsa and Sapulpa, including the Annex building of First Christian Church and the Veterans Memorial at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Hattie Thompson; one sister, Caroline Dolan; and two brothers, Otto Thompson and John Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velma Robertson Thompson; one daughter, Patricia Anne Leach, of Sapulpa; three sons, Robert Lee Thompson and wife Carol, of Texas, Charles Ray Thompson and wife Connie, of Sapulpa, and Jeff Thompson and wife Molly, of Altus; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Ben Thompson of Benicia, California, 3 sisters, Reba Stinebuck, of Bowden, Jean Rodgers, of Grove and Doris Ruhl of Sand Springs.

Bob was loved and will be greatly missed by all his nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Bob have been set for 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Sheely officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. The Sapulpa High School R.O.T.C. will be performing military services. Serving as casketbearers will be Steve Ruhl, Brandon Riley, James Thompson, Shannon Thompson, Kim Howard and Devron Petty.

THOMPSON -- "Bus" Edward Lee, passed from this life November 22, 2004 after a long illness. He was born December 5, 1921 in Bristow to John Edward and Helen Wiley Thompson. Bus was reborn in the early 1930's and was a past member and Teacher at Calvary Church in Sand Springs. He served his country during WWII as a Naval Carpenter's Mate. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he made his home in Sand Springs where he established the Thompson's Building Material Company. Later in life, he worked in Tulsa as an independent Drapery Installer and ended his career serving many Tulsans with their drapery and upholstery needs at Midwest Upholstery. He was a Tulsa bowler for 30 years. Bus will be remembered for his many good deeds and for his kind, caring, giving, and uncomplaining nature. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Joyce; and their 3 children, Joe of Broken Arrow, Dr. Jesse of Wingate, NC, and Julie LeVan of Tulsa. He also leaves behind sons, John of Bentonville, AR, Vic of Sand Springs, and Rev. Dale of Ft. Smith, AR; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, November 29, at Rose Hill Chapel with interment to follow at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs. The Rev. James W. Timbrook, 77, passed away Monday, May 19, 2003 in Sapulpa.

He was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Tulsa to parents Wilbur and Clara Timbrook.

James served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at T.D. Williamson Inc. for 28 years, then he went to work at Unit Rig until he retired. He has been a Freewill Baptist minister in the Tulsa, Sand Springs and Sapulpa area since 1949.

James is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Irene, Hazel, Pauline, and Anna Mae; and previous wife Nedra in 1996.

He is survived by his wife Odie, of the home, and three children, Marva Waters, Sandra Jarnagin, and Larry Timbrook, all of Sand Springs; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three step-sons, Rober Carter, of Bristow, Kenneth Carter, of Mannford, and Larry Van Zant, of Drumright; and eight step-grandchildren. Three sisters, Viola Asher, Beverly Fanning and Jackie Fanning also survive him, as well as many nieces and nephews.

James fought a brave battle with his illness but now he will suffer no more. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His passing will be felt by many and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Our precious baby doll, Jasena Rose Titus, was called to be one of God's little angles on May 29, 2004. She was a special gift from God who touched many hearts and made an everlasing impression on everyone who knew her.

Jasena Rose was born on July 31, 2001 in Tulsa, Okla. to Garnette and Jill Titus.

Survivors are her parents and her younger brothers, Garnette Elliott Titus Jr.

Jasena's grandparents are Bob and Joyce Childress, of Sapulpa, and Arlene Means, of Pine Ridge, S.D. Her great-grandparents are Walton and Wanda Crumley. Jasena was adored by her uncle, Mike Childress.

Jasena was surrounded by love from her large family of great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

On Wednesday, June 2 at 2 p.m., a memorial service will be hald at June Rose Assembly of God Church, located at 171st Street and South Hickory. Interment will follow in the South Heights Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hatten, Kevin Grant, Keith Grand and Jason Grant. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Fitzgerald.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciaton to the many churches, ministers, doctors and nurses of St. Francis Hospital, daycare employees, the employees of Creek Nation Casino, our many friends and extended family for all the prayers and many acts of kindness.
