Virginia Lee Robertson Tosh

Virginia Lee Robertson Tosh, 83, of Sapulpa, died Aug. 31, 2004 of a long-term illness. She was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on Nov. 17, 1920.

Virginia's parents, Jessie Leroy Robertson and Catherine Lumpkins Robertson, moved to California from Sapulpa in 1919. However since Jessie worked for the railroad, they visited Sapulpa every summer.

Virginia moved to Sapulpa in 1962. She worked at Hillcrest Hospital and Hissom Memorial Center as a PBX operator for several years and later at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa as a clerk. She retired in 1989. Although she lived many places she considered Sapulpa her home.

Virginia was preceded in death by her paretns and her son Joseph Wayne Ross.

Survivors are her two daughters Sherry Richey, of Conover, N.C., and Claire deLou Tosh, of San Diego; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two beloved "almost" daughters; and Janice Reynolds Harrington and Iris Kay Hammer Wilson, both of Sapulpa.

Memorial services for Virginia have been set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in South Heights Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, 2 years ago; also by her brother, Harold Cutrell; and a great-grandchild, Jessica Whitt. She is survived by: her sister, Eileen (Floyd) Carley of Emporia, KS; 4 children, Janice (Tom) Nunn of Naples, FL, Larry (Sue) Trickel of Miles City, MT, Jerry (Pamela) Trickel of Granbury and Dr. John Trickel of Richardson, TX; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Lillian was received into God's family as an infant when baptized by her father, a Methodist Minister. By God's grace she remained faithful to her Savior and is enjoying Christ's Victory over death in her heavenly home. FERN L. TUCKER

Fern L. Tucker, of Sapulpa, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at St. John Sapulpa at the age of 86.

Mrs. Tucker was born Aug. 29, 1917 in Clever, Mo. and had lived in Sapulpa since 1971 moving here from Wichita, Kan.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, where she had been very active in her church work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Daisy Dean Davis.

Survivors are her husband, Raymond, of the home; son Ray Tucker and his wife Sonia, of Kimberling City, Mo.; grandchildren Russell and wife Connie Tucker, Scott and wife Sandy Tucker, Shane Tucker, Jodi Fisher and husband Doug; five great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Tindle, of Sapulpa, and Louise Shibley, of Sapulpa; and brother Joe Davis,of Meridian, Miss.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker have been set for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John LItton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mounds Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casketbearers will be Shane Tucker, Russell Tucker, Scott Tucker, Doug Fisher, Don Buckmaster and Jim Inman.

Honorary bearers will be Ray Harrison, Ron Edmiston and Don Cross.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that friends may make donations to the First Baptist Church.

DeeAnn Turner, of Sapulpa, was born Nov. 5, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents O.L. and Rhoena Robertson and Raymond and Mary McCarty and her father Burl Eugene Robertson.

She is survived by her son Todd Turner, brother Wade Robertson and mother Paula Robertson.

DeeAnn had been an educator for the past 25 years. She loved children. DeeAnn was responsible for the first multihandicap preschool for the State of Oklahoma, which was at Lone Star School in Sapulpa. This program received national recognition all because of DeeAnn's efforts.

DeeAnn was a life member of First Baptist Church in Sapulpa.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Education Association and the National Education Association. She was an avid collector of crafts and antiques.

ELVA GENEVA TURNER

Elva Geneva Turner was born Dec. 29, 1916 to Claude Albert and Minnie Guinn. She passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at her home in Kellyville.

Elva moved to Creek County from Collinsville as a small child. She was a Sapulpa and Kellyville resident all of her life. She spent many years working for the Hissom Center in Sand Springs and the last few years as a senior companion.

Elva like to travel, play bingo and fish, and she especially loved to play cards. She was a bright spot in many lives. She loved to fuss over her children and grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Elva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Turner; brothers Floyd Guinn and Jessie Guinn, sister Ethel Rankin; her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jerry Long, of the home; stepson Jack and his wife, Doris Turner; stepdaughters, Marna and her husband, J.E. Robinson, and Kietha and her husband, Bill Logan; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special "thank you" to Janie Guinn, her traveling bingo and card playing buddy.

Funeral services for Elva have been set for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Kellyville Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be grandsons Pete Long, Shorty Long and Gary Turner, great-grandson Chea Long, and great-nephews Terry Lytle and James Scott.

Emma Bell Evans Turner

Emma Bell Evans Turner went home on Aug. 17, 2004 after suffering a lenghty illness.

Many family members and friends waiting for her arrival include her father Roy Evans, her mother Dorothy Robbins Evans, her brother Bobby Evans and his wife, Effie and many others standing to meet her at heaven's gate. Emma is survived by her husband Buel L. Turner Jr., of the home; her daughter Donna Turner Judd and husband Randy; daughter Diane McClenny, and only son Jim Turner and wife Erin, all of Sapulpa

Emma also has one sister Norma Chatham and husband Phillip, of Springdale, Ark.

Emma loves and will be missed by her grandchildren Chris, Hunter and India Judd, Grant Turner and Levi and Connor McClenny and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and aunts and uncles too numerous to count.

Emma was born Dec. 10, 1939 in Berryville, Ark. She attended high school in Berryville and held many dear memories of her classmates and the farm she grew up on where her family raised cattle. She married Buel on Feb. 10, 1959 in Tulsa. Emma and Buel raised their children in Cushing, where Emma was employed by the Cushing Hospital and later moved to Sapulpa in 1985 where she lived until her homecoming.

Emma, along with Buel and daughter Donna, owned and operated Turner's Monuments and Bronze Memorials in Sapulpa from 1994 until 2003. Emma aided many families with the loss of their loved ones and lived life in a caring and beautiful spiritual way that can never be forgotten. She was always there to listen, to help others and loved to cook for family and friends on holidays. She loved going to casinos in her spare time and could always be found with her best friend and husband Buel no matter what she did in life he was there beside her. He was her buddy.

Emma's family will headquarter at the home of daughter Diane McClenny in Sapulpa.

Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. A final viewing will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services have been set for 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa with the Rev. John Nelson officiating. The Rev. John Nelson visited her countless times during her illness and Emma's family holds him forever in a special place in their hearts.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa.

Helen Ruth Turner, 62, of Sapulpa, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Tulsa. She was born Oct. 11, 1939 in Sapulpa to Raymond Wolfe and Stella Majors and was a homemaker.

She was married to Jackie Turner on Aug. 30, 1958, and she had lived in Sapulpa all her life.

Cory Michael Tuttle

Cory Michael Tuttle was born May 16, 1970 at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa to parents Coy and Cheryl Tuttle. Cory unexpectedly passed away Saturday, July 17, 2004.

Cory graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa. He was a great lover of life, family, friends and music. He loved being with his daughter and showing her the great outdoors. He was a huge sports fan with Tiger Woods and the Dallas Cowboys being his favorites. Everyone will remember his wonderful sense of humor and laughter.

He is preceded in death by his aunt Jeanette Tuttle; grandparents, Etta and Dee Tuttle, of Mounds, Rick and Betty Cutting, of Amarillo, Texas, and Linda Burdick, of Downsville, Wis.

He is surived by his daughter Heidi; father Coy and wife Sandi Tuttle, of Mounds; mother Cheryl Tuttle, of Tulsa; sisters Amanda Rackleff and husband Brian, of Tulsa, Taffi Hertz and husband Alan, of La Vernia, Texas; uncle Marc Cutting, of St. Paul, Minn.; aunt Vicki Radmann and husband Herby, of Menomonie, Wis.; special friend Paula Saddoris, of Tulsa; nieces Hannah Rackleff and Allison Hertz; and nephew Cody Hertz.

You will be missed by all.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Free Will Baptist Church in Mounds. Smith Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

TUTTLE, Jack G. - Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in the Mounds Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Lamberson will officiate. Interment will be in Duck Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Tuttle, 68, died Tuesday, De. 25, 2001 in Jenks. He was born on July 17, 1933 in Liberty Mounds to Fred and Lillie Mae Boyles Tuttle. He had lived in this area almost all of his life.

He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Bartlett-Collins Co., where he had worked in the furnace maintenance area. He was a long-time member of the Mounds Free Will Baptist Church and was active in the Mounds Senior Citizens Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Tuttle, on Jan. 29, 2989.

Survivors include two daughters, Lesia Leffler and Gina Steinberg, both of Mounds; his parents, Fred and Lillie Mae Tuttle of Liberty Mounds; a sister, Darlene Mize of LIberty Mounds; and four grandchildren.

MYRTLE ANN TWEEDY

Myrtle Ann Tweedy, 90, of Sapulpa, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 25, 2003 at her daughter's home in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born Jan. 10, 1913 in Amber, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. A.D. Tweedy, who passed away in 1978, and her son, Philip Tweedy, of Arcadia, Calif., who passed away in May 2003.

A daughter, Naomi Anne Pierson, of Fayetteville, a son, Craig Tweedy, of Sapulpa, and a daughter, Karen Sullivan, of Sapulpa, also survive her. She has 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker until her husband's death and then started her own successful sewing and alteration business. She was well known in Sapulpa.

A celebration service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Sapulpa, followed by burial in Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. The Rev. James Nash will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Compassionate Fund at First Church of the Nazarene.
