SCHLEY SCONIERS, husband of Della Mae Johnson, daughter of Lydia Amnah Strain, daughter of Robert Milton Strain, son of George Douglas Strain, son of Robert Fulton Strain, was born on February 12, 1901, and died on August 14, 1981.

S. SCONIERS
Schley Sconiers of 1225 N. 10th died Friday morning at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center at the age of 80.

Born February 12, 1901 in DeFunicke Springs, Fla., he had lived in Sapulpa since 1923.

Sconiers worked in the oil fields and owned a car repair service. He was a Methodist, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 170 and was a past member of the I.O.O.F. He served on the Sapulpa City Council from 1948 to 1950, and other terms from 1951 to 1958 and from 1960 to 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Della Mae (Johnson); two nephews, D.S. Coniers of Irran, Tx., and A.M. Sconiers of Meridian, Idaho; three nieces, Mrs. Beatrice Tice of Prescott, Arizona, Mrs. Dessie Wilson of Spannaway, Washington, and Mrs. Florabelle Hill of Salem, Oregon.

Funeral services are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

SCONIERS RITES
Schley Sconiers, 80, Sapulpa, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Sconiers was born February 12, 1901 in De Funiak Springs, Fla. He lived in Sapulpa since 1923. He served as city commissioner for 14 years.

Sconiers also worked in the Oklahoma oil fields and he owned a garage for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge Number 170 and the I.O.O.F.

Survivors include his wife, Della Mae (Johnson); two brothers, D.S. of Iraan, Texas, and A.M. of Meridian, Idaho; three sisters, Bertice Tice, Prescott, Arizona, Dessie Wilson, Spanaway, Wash., and Florabelle Sell, Salem, Ore.; plus a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin Hedin officiating. Interment is at the South Heights cemetery.
