Sibyl Anita Smith was born in June 27, 1919, in Muskogee, to Stowell E. Parrish and Hazel LaRue Parrott. She entered into rest on Dec. 19, 2005, in Bristow at the Rainbow Nursing Center.
After living in the Tulsa, Kellyville and Sapulpa areas, Ms. Smith moved to Bristow in 1982 as a homemaker. Sibyl loved to camp, fish, knit and crochet, and was called a "Rock Hound" who enjoyed collecting rocks. Dogs, hats and singing made her smile, but mostly she delighted in serving the Lord.
Sibyl Smith was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Tony and Kathy Bacon and family, Mike and Darla Adcock and family, Dale and Jessie Allen and family, all of Bristow, and one son, John Kyle Smith of Tulsa.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike DeMoss officiating. Interment followed at the Bristow City Cemetery. Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
