WOODROW "WOODY" WILSON CLINTON, SR.
1919 - 2005

Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Clinton, Sr., died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, in Tulsa, at the age of 86. He was born in Bristow on March 27, 1919, to Wilson Clinton and Cubah Martin Clinton. He had lived in Phoenix some 30 years, but the rest of his life was spent in the Slick and Bristow area.

He served with with United States Army during World War II. Woody was a Millwright Truck Driver with Martin Trucking before his retirement. He was a past member of V.F.W. Post 3656 in Bristow, and enjoyed bowling, beadwork and Indian Lore. He was an avid Stickball player in his younger years, and was active in the Bristow Indian Community Center.

Woody is survived by four sons, Gary Clinton and his wife, Melanie, of Dallas, Tex.; Joe Johnson of Fayetteville, Ark., William Clinton of Golden Valley, Ariz., and Woodrow Wilson Clinton Jr., of Tulsa; four daughters, Marla Eden and her husband, Al, of Bosier City, La., Cuba Clinton of Arizona, Beth Roberts of Tulsa, and Karrie Morgan of Phoenix; one sister, Carrie Kramer of Wichita, Kan., 29 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchilren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sylvia, and one brother, Arthur.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clare House, 7324 East 49th Place, No. 3, Tulsa, OK 74145.

Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Bristow City Cemetery with Al Eden, pastor of the First Assembly Church in Boiser City, La., officiating. Services are under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home Bristow, Oklahoma (918) 367-2244.
