Zora Marie Balwin Beardslee Sherrill was born Feb. 10, 1919 in Muskogee to Carrie Annie Dairs and William Cecil Balwin. She died at home Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 in Sapulpa.
Zora retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Norman. She has resided in Sapulpa since 1991. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sapulpa for 14 years.
Zora will be greatly missed and remembered forever.
Zora is survived by her children Judy and Ted Fisher, of Sapulpa, Jerry Beardslee, of Tulsa, Linda Smiley, of Edmond; and two grandchildren Bill Farha III, of Bristow, and Mary Leslie Farha Stilwell, of Tulsa; three brothers and four sisters William "Tony" Balwin, of Kellyville, Eudora Dawson, of Hennessey, Raymond Balwin, of Poteau, Dorothy Lemon, of Umpqua, Ore., Freda Henderson, of Henryetta, Patricia Caillier, of Farmington, N.M. and Edmond Balwin, of Sapulpa.
Memorial services for Zora have been set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. in Oklahoma City at Resthaven Cemetery Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005.
