Charles Leon Shouse Sr. and Wanda Maire Payne Shouse will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 with a reception hosted by their children at the Kellyville school cafeteria, 144 S. Elon St. from 2 to 4 p.m.
The couple was married Sept. 17, 1956 at Catoosa Assembly of God church with the Rev. J. Walter Leppke officiating.
Wanda attended Catoosa High School. She enjoys fishing, scrapbooking, attending church and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was employed for five years at Bartlett Memorial Hospital, and 26 years at Zebco Brunswick as a production supervisor.
Charlie attended Catoosa High School. He enjoys fishing, old cars and carpentry.
Charlie is self-employed and worked for his father before he started his paint contracting business.
The couple has four children, Elizabeth McCarty and her boyfriend Chris Root, Tammy Rosson and husband Bobby, Charles L. Shouse Jr. and wife Lynnette and Paulette Richardson and husband Clayton; 11 grandchildren, Patrick Crawford, Delina O'Leary, Kristen Reed, Stanley Shouse, Jacob Rosson, Starr Jones, Jeremiah Rosson, Jonathan (Charlie) Rosson, Joshua Rosson, Destiny Richardson and Paige Richardson; and seven great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Chelsea Crawford, Kristina Crawford, Skylan and Caden Reed, Trinity Rosson and Minor O'Leary.
