The children of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bell of Bixby will honor their parents at a 50th wedding anniversary reception to be held January 27. It will be held in the Lions Club Building, 202 East Commanche, Jenks, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell were married January 25, 1930 at Coweta. They have lived most of their married life in the Sapula-Kiefer area.
The Bells have three children, Mrs. Max Palmer of Bixby, Mrs. W. R. Gruver, Jr. and Mrs. Troy Hayes, both of Jenks. There are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
An invitation is extended to all friends and relatives to attend next Sunday's reception.
A large number of friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bell attended a reception in their honor held Jan. 27, 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lions Club Building at Jenks. The occasion was to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts at the open house were the couple's three daughters and their sons-in-law, along with the seven grandchildren and their spouses. Their daughters are Mrs. Max Palmer, Bixby, Mrs. W. R. Gruver Jr. and Mrs. Troy Hayes, both of Jenks.
A couple who were of special note were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Agee, Haskell. They had signed the marriage license for Mr. and Mrs. Bell.
Other guests were Mrs. Lorene Nichols, Wellston; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Calkins, Moore; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rice and family, Mounds; Mrs. Carlene Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Jones, of Tulsa; Mr. and Mrs. Randy Haves and Mrs. Wanda Heflin of Glenpool.
