John L. Butts and Betty Legrand Butts will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 20, 2006.
John and Betty were married July 20, 1956 at United Pentecostal Church in Sapulpa with the Rev. Harris officiating.
They made their home in Sapulpa, and both are retired. They have three children, Barbara Forrest, John D. Butts and Billy Butts, and one grandchild, Nathan Forrest, all of Sapulpa.
A party was hosted in their honor at Pickett Prairie Baptist Church July 15, 2006 by their children.
