The 59th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Linnie McClure, 703 S. Poplar, was celebrated Sunday with a party held in the home of a grandson, Larry McClure at Jenks.
The couple was married Oct. 31, 1920, at Kellyville.
Guests were served anniversary cake from a table holding a centerpiece of yellow daisies and gold colored candles.
Present were a son and two daughters and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McClure, Mrs. and Mrs. Dan McHughes, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hale, all of Sapulpa.
And these grandchildren, Mrs. Karen Guess and Danny, Sapulpa, Mrs. Pat Yarger, Missy and Randy of Vinita, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Powell, Stacey and Brad and Chad of Broken Arrow.
And, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walker and Christy, Mannford, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Harris, Bixby, Mark Hale, Cathy Hale and the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Larry McClure and Kara.
During the party they received telephone calls from their other children, Sue Simmons of Wisconsin and Tom Mcclure of Michigan.
