W.M. HARRISONS FETED ON 60TH ANNIVERSARY

More than 75 friends and relatives attended the 60th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Harrison held Oct. 21 in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ronald Folger, 100 S. Boyd.

Mr. and Mrs. Harrison were married Oct. 22, 1919 in Tulsa. They have lived their entire married life in this area. He worked 50 years in and around Kiefer, in the oil fields, 35 of which was with Pure Oil Co. They moved to Sapulpa from Kiefer in the early 50s.

William McKinley Harrison was born in Tecumseh, Indian Territory and moved to the Kiefer area in 1916, where he met Laughn Beulah Jackson, a native of Seymour, Mo., who had moved to Keifer around 1907.

The Harrisons had two children, Virginia Harrison Folger, Sapulpa, and the late Charles Harrison. They have one granddaughter, Janice Harrison Scanlan of Albuquerqaue, NM.

In addition to her duties as a wife and mother, Mrs. Harrison has always found time for civic activities. She was active for many years in Sapulpa Garden Club and as a member of Sapulpa Women's Chamber of Commerce has helped complete many projects for improvement of Sapulpa. The Harrisons are active in First Christian Church.

Assisting Mrs. Folger in entertaining were their granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Bernadine Harrison as well as nieces, Frances Rongey of Jenks, Joan Harrison of Tulsa and Tony Jackson of Oklahoma City.

Out-of-town relatives and friends were Mrs. Harrison's brother, Everett Jackson of Velma, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jackson and Joel of Oklahoma City, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rongey, Tony and Curt of Jenks.

And, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Harrison and Kay Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Wall, Anna Mae Terrel and Harlan, all of Tulsa, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Jones, Jennifer and Mike and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Yarger, of Kiefer.
