Back in 1951, when the Mayo Family first moved to Jenks from Tulsa, one of our greatest joys was being able to walk around the corner from our home on "A" Street to the Ritz Theater, which was located on Main Street behind our house!
Many Friday nights our Daddy would come home from work, and after supper we would get our "comfy" clothes on and take that one block walk to the "picture show."
Each month the Ritz Theater sent us a card to hang on the wall, showing the movies that would be playing for the entire month. That way, you could plan well in advance just which nights you'd want to set aside to go to the show.
Digging around in some of my old keepsakes, I found these three movie cards sent to us during 1952. I hope you enjoy them! It sure brings back a lot of wonderful family memories for me!
