"LETTERS TO THE EDITOR"

From "The Mannford/Lake Keystone News Journal," Mannford, Oklahoma, October 5, 1988

Editor:

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of your writeup about my brother Jasper (Tank) Loveall. A friend of my sister sent her the paper and she lent me a copy.

We are so proud of his recognition. I never got to attend his funeral and now I feel that I have. The tears are many.

Livingston, where we live, is a small town like Mannford. I lived in Mannford from 1928-1940 and still think of it as my home town. Of course, I was raised south of Mannford. The Lovealls, DeLancys, Gilreaths and Suits all populated that area, as all had large families. I was in the area a couple of years ago and it was a sad feeling as all the little farms and houses are there no more.

Thanks so much and I'm sure the others thank you too. Best wishes to the new American Legion Post and I can't thank them enough. I think their choice was excellent.
