"CLASS OF '47 40TH REUNION"

Drumright High School Class of 1947 held their 40th Reunion on Saturday, May 23rd. They met in the lounge of the Citizens Bank from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. As each guest signed in, they were given a name tag with their senior picture on it.

A bulletin board was covered with pictures of the class members taken during their high school days.

The refreshment table carried out the school colors of red and white. Class members enjoyed looking at the 1947 Gusher and a scrapbook containing pictures taken at the 25th Class Reunion in 1972. They also enjoyed information sheets, letters and pictures received from all of their classmates.

Jack Hewitt, Yale, Ok., gave each class member present, a red cap imprinted in white with Drumright High School - Class of 1947.

Clovis Hester welcomed everyone to the reunion and acknowledged messages and phone calls from class members who could not attend.

Merle Bounds, Williamsburg, Va. was presented a gift, the book, 'Drumright II', for the class member coming the longest distance.

A photograph from Reunions, Inc. took individual pictures of class members and candid shots during the afternoon festivities.

Many friends and DHS Graduates from other classes dropped in during the afternoon.

Class members attending from Texas were: Teddie Clark Hudson & husband, Midland; James R. Alexander, Lubbock; Lawrence Bowser, Fort Worth; Jim Garner & wife, Aledo; and Bob Odom & wife, Houston.

Those from Kansas were: Erma Lee Frazier Powell and husband of Eureka and Ralph Noland and wife of Haysville.

Other out-of-state members were: Patsy Palmer Wode of Huntsville, Ala.; Merle Bounds of Williamsburg, Va.; John Griffeth of Carnegie, Penn.; Richard Jones and Darrell Marken & wife both of Golden, Colo.; and Eugene Mouser & wife of Joplin, Mo.

Attending from Tulsa, Ok.: Betty Elliott James, Betty Shideler Jones & husband, Joan Turnbow Johnson, and Wallace Johnson.

Attending from Edmond, Ok. were: Betty Uptegraft Hulsey, Chiquita Smith Stump and Earl Stump.

Attending from Cushing, Ok. were: Bonnie Wade Goodman, Rosemary Handley Butler and Dorothy Solmon Slater.

Others attending from out-of-town were: Beverly Crawford Gerord & husband, Anadarko, Ok.; Hubert Gober & wife, Eufaula, Ok.; Jack Hewitt & wife, Yale, Ok.; Kenneth Lewis & wife, Sapulpa, Ok.; Given Roberts Evans, Bethany, Ok.; Sister Gertrude Marie (Patsy Kotthoff) and Buzzy Brown & wife, both of Oklahoma City, Ok.; and Eva Joe Ellis Fincher of Sand Springs, Ok.
