"LURLENE IRWIN HONORED ON 90TH"

To honor their mother, Lurlene Irwin on her 90th Birthday, an Open House was held Saturday, August 29th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Drumright Community Center by her children, Laverne Hunter and C.H. Irwin.

The serving table, which held the punch and coffee, also displayed the beautiful cake which said '90th Birthday Lurlene'. Also a floral table arrangement with multiple colors of carnations.

The guest table had an arrangement of lilies and several balloon arrangements with Mrs. Irwin's chair decorated as a throne. She also wore a corsage of an orchid.

Her descendants were all there including her children, Laverne Hunter of Drumright, Ok., and C.H. Irwin of Wichita Falls, Tx. Her three grandchildren, Karen (Hunter) Babcock of Jenks; Janice Bramlett of Madrid, Spain; and Peggy Thurman of Garland, Tx. Also her great grandchildren, Dawni Worthan, Clayton Babcock and Margaret Hines of Jenks; Matthew and Kerry Bramlett of Madrid Spain; and Meridith, Kyle and Ashley Black of Garland, Tx. Her two great-great-granddaughters, Whitney Worthan and Kelli Hines of Jenks were also present which made five generations of girls at the reception.

Other relatives and friends attended from Tulsa, Edmond and Midwest City in Oklahoma and Ft. Worth, Dallas and San Antonio in Texas. Also a host of friends who dropped in to wish her a 'Happy Birthday.' She also received several long distance calls with Birthday greetings.
