Nineteen hundred sixty two was the year of the last class graduating from the Mannford School in the old town. Superintendent that year was Roy R. Russell and Veo Story was the principal.

Teachers that year were Azalee Hart, first grade; Jean O'Kief, second grade; Sylvia Rhoades, third grade; Audrey McDonald (widow of Mannford's Dr. McDonald), fourth grade; June Gibson, fifth grade; Zella Morman, sixth and seventh grades; William Gibson, science and eighth grade; Mabel Stovall, home economics; Loy Steward, agriculture; Leroy Eslick, commerce and grade school coach; Kate Russell, history and English; and James Basham, history and high school coach.

The sixteen seniors graduating that year were Eddie Williams, Wilma Evans, Terry Boyington, Gloria Mills, Michael Bock, Marsha Evans, Patricia Farrow, Gayle Reed, Bill Roper, Dwight Varnell, Raymond Lewis, Kenneth Lord, Kay Moreino Jones, Bonnie Standridge, Kay LeGrand and Gary Zickefoose.
