Mr. and Mrs. Burney Brasel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the community center in Drumright on Sunday, July 28th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All friends are invited to come by and visit with Burney and Ruby. No gifts, please.
The open house is being given by their five children, Susie Gann, Charles Brasel, Leslie Brasel, Jean Roberts of Drumright and Ron Brasel of Tulsa.
Mr. and Mrs. Brasel were married on August 3, 1935 in Kiefer, Oklahoma. Mrs. Brasel was the former Ruby Goddard. Both graduated from Drumright High School. Burney's parents owned the first drug store in Drumright, known as the Marguette Pharmacy, which Burney operated until he sold out in August of 1978. The Brasels have five children, 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
