Carla Lynn Sutton and Wesley Eugene Eakin were united in marriage on May 17, 1985 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Drumright. Rev. Steve Ruby officiated the double ring ceremony.

Carla Lynn Sutton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sutton, south of Drumright. She is a graduate of Drumright High School, and also attended Drumright Vo-Tech. She is a graduated of the class of 85.

The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Robertson. Wesley Eugene Eakin is a graduate of Drumright High School also, and attended Vo-Tech Auto 1 & 2. He is a graduate of the class of 83. He is employed at A.B. Still Wel-Service for the past 2 years part time and 1 year full time.

The wedding took place under a Brass Archway with Pink bows. The wedding musician was Darlene Jarvis.

Escorted to the alter by her father, the bride chose a long gown of white organza, trimmed in light pink ruffles around the neck and sleeves, softly gathered skirt and ruffled hemline accented with tiny pink bows.

Her wide-brimmed hat was trimmed in white lace with clusters of small pink silk rose buds, with white chiffon wheat pearls and a bow in the back.

Kevin Sutton, brother of the bride, and Joe Paul Robertson, brother of the groom served as ushers.

A reception was planned for a later date.

The couple will make their home at 106 E. Maple in Drumright.
