Mannford residents Gene and Vera Barley recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary among friends and family as they were given a surprise party on August 20, at the Community Center.
The Barley's were married in Lake Village Arkansas in 1938. They moved to Tulsa in 1941 and resided there until 1953 at which time they moved to Berryhill. In 1967 they bought their home in Mannford where they now reside.
They have four daughters, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The daughters are Wanda Foster, of Tulsa, Thelma Holt, of Moore, Wilma Lusk, of Villa Park, California and Linda Barley, of Mannford.
There were over 120 friends and relatives who joined in the celebration.
