Mr. and Mrs. Jerome E. Cargill will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday, October 27 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Center in Drumright.
Hosting the gathering will be their daughter and son-in-law, Juliene and Jack Anderson of Lake Kiowa, Texas, and their grandchildren, Kathy and Andy Anderson of Greenville, Texas; Julie Anderson of Enid, Oklahoma and Steve Anderson of Lake Kiowa, Texas.
Jerome Cargill and Thelma Beard were married on October 27, 1934, in the Baptist Parsonage in Shamrock, Oklahoma. The ceremony was witnessed by Gertrude Cargill Walker and Inez Beard Rogers, sisters of the couple. The newlyweds established their home in the Oak Grove community where they continue to reside. Jerome is a retired carpenter and Thelma is a semi-retired beautician.
Relatives and friends are invited to share this event. The couple requests no gifts, please.
