CHARLES ROY AND VICKI LYNN BROWN KAPPES


"OKC PAIR ARE WED"

Vicki Lynn Brown and Charles Roy Kappes, both of Oklahoma City, were united in marriage May 4 at 8 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Drumright. The Rev. Jemes Kelley officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brown of Drumright and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Malson of Oklahoma City.

Church decorations were carried out with an archway with greenry and doves and seven candles on each side and fans.

Mrs. A.C. Wiemer provided the organ music and soloist was Susan Starns. Selections included "God, A Woman and A Man," "That's the Way" and "The Lord's Prayer." Pianist Linda Oaks played for the lighting of the candles.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown which was accented by a skirt with four tier lace and had a long train with mutton sleeves. Her veil was finger tip length and she carried spring flowers.

Serving as matron of honor was Leslie Collison of Beaver, Oklahoma. She wore a gown of blue lace with an elbow length cape collar. She too carried spring flowers.

Best man was Douglas Brown of Oklahoma City and usher was Tommy Kiser and David Dunigan.

Following the ceremony a reception at the church was hosted by the parents of the bride.

Guests were served from a traditional three-tiered cake, a groom's cake and punch. Assisting at the reception were Wilma Embree, Billie Compton, Shelia White, Mary Kiser, Shelia Blay and Mendie Campbell.

Following a wedding trip to Fort Worth, Texas, the couple have established their first home in Oklahoma City, where both are employed by the OSU Health Science Center.
