Mannford residents Richard and Dorothy Blake will be celebrating their Golden wedding anniversary among family and friends at a reception held in their son's home in Tulsa.
The Blakes met at a lake resort in Ft. Laramie, Ohio in 1936 and were married two years later, October 29, 1938.
Mr. Blake is a machine tool salesman for Gorton-Howell Machine Co. and Mrs. Blake is a retired beautician. Both are extremely active at the Mannford Methodist Church and involved in all the activities at the church.
There will be an Open House celebration from 2-4 p.m., given by Brent and Cindy Blake and Brenda Sumner. The address of the home where the party will be given is 8436 E. 65th Street, Tulsa.
The Blake's also have four grandchildren that will be involved in the celebration.
