"50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY"

Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Volok, 426 S. Layton, are being honored by their family with a reception celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosts for the festivities are Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Wicks of Tulsa, Bill Volok of Los Angeles, California and John Volok of Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Voloks were married on Oct. 2, 1935 in the Buena Memorial Presbyterian Church of Chicago, Ill. by Rev. Henry Hepburn. Mr. Volok, at the time was a member of the Chicago Cardinal Pro-Football team.

In their early married life, the couple resided in Tulsa and a few years in Kiefer. They have been a part of the Drumright community since November of 1942.

You are invited to join them on this occasion which is to be held Saturday, September 28th in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church between the hours of 2 PM and 4 PM. No gifts please.

"CELEBRATES FIFTY YEARS"

On Saturday, Sept. 28th, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Wicks, William P. Volok and John R. Volok held a reception celebrating the Oct. 2 fifteenth (fiftieth) wedding anniversary of their parents, the W. J. Voloks. Setting for the occasion was the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church.

Assisting the hosts and hostess were Mrs. M.G. Sala and Mrs. Loyd Zumwalt with the guest book, Mrs. W.J. McIlwain and Mrs. Haskell King serving cake. Mrs. John Kane, the punch, Mrs. Lou Allard Jr., the coffee, Mrs. W.R. Kellogg and Mrs. Ivan Brown, the hot cider.

During the afternoon, the Rev. Bob Tupper presented a meaningful talk on marriage, home, family and love. The three Volok children spoke of their memories of home, childhood years, and expressed appreciation for having grown up in the community of Drumright.

Out-of-town guests joining those of Drumright were Mr. and Mrs. G.V. Lentz, Mrs. Delcia Bly, Mrs. Billy Wilder, Mrs. May Turner, and Victor Thomas of Tulsa, Mrs. Patricia Boyd of Oklahoma City, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Turnbow of Cleveland, and Patricia Meyer of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Members of Mr. Volok's family from Kansas were his siter, Mrs. Ray Barton, and niece, Mrs. Ernest Stehno, of Lucas, nephew Harry Lee Barton with his wife Luella and daughters Lurene, Libby Jo, and Lindy of Little River, great niece Delma Jean Naegle, her husband Bryce and daughter Audrey of Hutchinson. The families were evening dinner guests of the Voloks at Joseph's Restaurant.

William P. Volok left Tuesday, Oct. 8th for his home in Los Angeles, Ca. During his three week stay with his parents, the family, including the Oliver Wicks spent a weekend in Little Rock, Ark. with John Volok. He also visited Hot Springs, the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge on the Talimena Drive, the Kerr Museum, Kiefer, and Tulsa University. He was the guest of the Wicks on a tour of Silver Dollar City, Branson, Mo. and Eureka Springs, Ark. over the past weekend.
