The Quilting Circle met on Thursday at the Christian Church and those attending were Mrs. J. M. Cumbey, Mrs. Lavada Forest, Faye Bacon, Mrs. Edna Herring, Grace Curry, Mrs. John Haywood, Inez Scott, and Marie Crowder. Mrs. Adda Harker was a visitor.

The Senior Citizens of Mounds enjoyed a luncheon at the Mounds United Methodist Church on Wednesday and those attending were Mrs. Earl Moore, Mrs. Elvina McCully, Sally Anderson, May Housner, Mrs. Adda Harker, Eula Colvin, Elvin Nevins, Mable Stephens, Opal Kelly, Michelle Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Rice, Johnnie Lee, Mrs. Clair Owsley, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Moss, Lena Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cumbey, Mrs. Virgie Bolinger, Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Bill Mooney, Don Rice, Mr. and Mrs. Marion, Lorene Dewery, Mrs. Billie Ruth Hensley, Bobby and Elizabeth, Mrs. Chris Boydston, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lacey, Mrs. Marie Stocham, and Mrs. Rose Cruickshank. They will have another dinner on Wednesday the 9th of August. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Thursday afternoon visitors in the home of Mrs. Tom Exendine was Mrs. Ruth Cox of Beggs.

Tuesday night visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Roller were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Christian and Cecil Wilson.

Mr. and Mrs. L.O. McNabb, Chris and Steve and Timmy, Mrs. Ruby McNabb, Miss Jamie Mullins of New Castle, and Tina McCellelan spent several days at Indian Head Lodge at Ft. Gibson.

Sunday night dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Creason, Brian and Eric were Melvin and Steve Creason of Tulsa and Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Evans and Shannon from Oregon. Later visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Troy Creason from Okmulgee.

Tuesday visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Herring were Mrs. J.M. Cumbey and Mrs. June Cumbey.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Clint Roller attended a birthday party and dinner for Mr. Gus Cox of Thayer, Kansas. It was held in the city park at Independence, Kansas. Others attending the celebration were Kenneth, Loretta and Velma Ellis, Lena Wadsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fought and Mike, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Jess Fought, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ellis and Heather, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fought, Leann, Jennie, Paula and Brad, David Engroff all of Cherryvale, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Cox, Randy and Dave, Linda Phillips all of Thayer, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Don Phisek, Scott and Donna of Sycamore, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wilkerson and Mike, Danny Bolinger, Owen Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anders, Dough Byum, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ringle, Ricky and Terry Fraker, all of Parsons, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas, Shane and Steve all of Oswego, Kansas, Linda Hendrick of Altamount, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Jim West of Neodesha, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wadsworth, April and Tracey of Independence, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ringle, Tera and Chris of McCune, Kansas, and the honorees wife Mrs. Goldie Cox.

Mr. and Mrs. Junior Wilborn and Mrs. Janice Wilborn attended a Slow pitch softball game at Liberty-Mounds on Sunday evening where Larry Wilborn was playing on the Texaco Refinery team of Tulsa. Sorry to say they lost.

Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson were Melvin Young and Melinda McCall from Dexter, Kansas. Later they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Burt, Mrs. Cindy Simonds and Belinda and Butch Burt of Tulsa.

Sandy and Barry Sharp and Eula Colvin of Sapulpa spent Friday until Sunday with Lena King in Cleveland.

Friday night guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. June Cumbey were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Seago and Aaron of Liberty-Mounds, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Spradley and Quinton and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cumbey.

Sunday evening visitor of Mr. and Mrs. John Stiger and Jackie and Mary Bosshart was Mrs. Janice Wilborn of Sapulpa.

Saturday visitors in the home of Mrs. Tom Exendine were Mrs. Jasper Hale and daughters from Tulsa.

Thursday night Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cox attended a birthday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Cox, Luann, Darla, Jana and Keri in Jenks. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Therman, Brent and Rusty. They helped celebrate James' birthday.

David and Kathy Exendine from Gillette, Wyoming visited with Mrs. Tom Exendine, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Byrd, Melita and Lisa, they also visited with Kathy's parents and grandparents and other relatives in Claremore.

Mr. and Mrs. June Cumbey visited in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Webb McFadden, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Booth and Mrs. J.M. Cumbey in Tulsa on Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Louie Byrd, Melita and Lisa entertained David and Kathy Exendine of Gillette, Wyoming, and Mrs. Tom Exendine with dinner at the Heritage House in Tulsa on Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Dubb Carr and Kelli of Sand Springs and Mrs. Billie Sue Crowell and Gordon of Morris visited with Mrs. Marie Stockham on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Louie Byrd, Melita and Lisa visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bowels in Bartlesville on Thursday.

Staff Sergeant Wayne Exendine and Mrs. Exendine, Brian and Deanna of Wichita, Kansas visited with Mrs. Tom Exendine, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Byrd, Melita and Lisa, Mr. and Mrs. Paul JOnes. They were on their way to Alaska.

Saturday night visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cox were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Christian from Liberty-Mounds.

Friday evening visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Roller were Mr. and Mrs. John Roller, Angela and Todd from Sapulpa, and Ray Roller of Bixby.

Burk Gilbreath is home from the hospital from having eye surgery and he is feeling better. And get well wishes to everyone who has been on the sick list this week.

Wednesday visitor in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Roller was Jim Kassee of near Liberty-Mounds.
