Mrs. Elsie O. Dame, 87, died April 10 at her home in Glenpool. Mrs. Dame has been a resident of the Glenpool and Jenks area many years.
She and her husband, Lonnie, were charter members of the Jenks First Christian Church. Mrs. Dame was a past noble grand of the Jenks Rebekah Lodge where she had been a member for 48 years.
Survivors are her husband, Lonnie; a brother, Roy Dugan of the home; a sister, Mrs. Canna Lindsey of Pasadena, California; a number of nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Grace Church, Glenpool, April 14 under the direction of the Owen Funeral Home of Sapulpa. Rev. Lloyd Christensen officiating. Jenks Rebekah Lodge assisted with the services.

Maudie Daniel, 83, of Jenks, OK went to be with her Lord peacefully at Glenpool Health Care Thursday, October 7, 2004. Mrs. Daniel was born in Non, Oklahoma to Robert Leach and Zelpha Johnson November 26, 1920.
Mrs. Daniel was a retired tax accountant and worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. She enjoyed painting.
Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by both parents; 2 brothers Eugene Leach and Robert Leach; 2 sisters Fay Everting and Euna May Leach; her husband, Truman Daniel and son, Don Daniel. She is survived by her sister Vera Dukes and her husband, Jim of Amarillo, Texas and good friends, Virgil and Theresa Adams of Glenpool, Oklahoma, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Bud Doyle officiating. Committal will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Services for Maudie Daniel, 83, of Jenks, were 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Rev. Bud Doyle officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, Okla.
Mrs. Daniel died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004 at the Glenpool Health Center.

DANKBAR -- Ray M. 78, of Bixby, OK, formerly of Garnet, IA, passed away Friday, June 27, 2003 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Ray was born October 14, 1924 in Garner, IA to Louis Dankbar and Margaret (Rothamel) Dankbar. He was raised in Garner, IA where he attended school and graduated from Garner High School, Garner, IA in 1943 and Oklahoma School of Accountancy, Tulsa, OK, with a Bachelor of Commercial Science in September, 1951. Mr. Dankbar served in the U.S. Army and Honorably Discharged on January 29, 1946. Ray married Betty Lou Russell on February 16, 1946. They resided in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK, where Ray worked for Amoco for 38 years and retired in 1985. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Clements Catholic Church in Bixby, OK. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Lou Dankbar; daughters, Joyce Dankbar Koscuik, Joan Dankbar Portillo and Janette Dankbar Mullis; sons Michael Dankbar, Patrick Dankbar and Paul Dankbar; grandchildren, Steven, Chris and Whitney Koscuik, and Mark, Jillian and Kelly Dankbar. Ray genuinely loved his family and friends and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who felt his zest for life. Rosary will be held Monday, June 30, 2003 at 7 p.m. and Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, 10 a.m. at St. Clements Catholic Church, 15501 S. Memorial Dr., Bixby, OK. Mrs. Macy Davidson, 87, of Stilwell, grandmother of Mrs. Marguerite Peninger, died in the Stilwell Nursing Home Feb. 27. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon in the Roberts Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Stilwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Davidson was the widow of Jerry M. Davidson. She was born near Winslow, and moved to Stilwell about 23 years ago.
She is survived by five sons, Wayne M. (father of Marguerite), Jes and Joe of Tulsa, Marvin of Stilwell and Arthur B. of Fayetteville, Ark., who was sheriff of Fayetteville for a number of years. There are 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Christian church and the Eastern Star in Stilwell.

Funeral services for Bonnie Lee (Terry) Davis, 87, of Jenks were Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Troy Hayes officiating.
Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at the home of her daughter after a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 4, 1913 in Charleston, Ark., the daughter of oscar Lee and Pamelia Artibe (Stewart) Terry. She moved to Jenks in 1926 where she had made her home most of her life.
She married Walter Lee Davis, June 17, 1931 and he preceded her in death in January of 1960. Following his death, she went to work at Children's Medical Center as a PBX operator for 22 years.
She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge and the First United Methodist Church of Jenks.
She is survived by a daughter, DeWanda Lee and her husband James K. Humphries; a brother, Monta Ray "Buddy" Terry of Schulter, Okla.; a grandson, Brandon Lee Humphries and two great grandsons.
Interment was in Floral haven Cemetery under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home.

Dean Harold Davis
Services for Dean Harold Davis, 69, were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Glenpool. Rev. Jerry C. Johns officated.
Interment was in Bixby Cemetery under the direction of Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service and Cremation Care.
Davis was born May 13, 1935, son of Jefferson Davis and Margaret Rose Pursinger in Sasakwa, Okla. He attended school in Wewoka.
He died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004 at St. Johns Medical Center in Sapulpa.
Davis was a plumbing contractor and owner of Dean's Pluming and Drain. He also was a lay pastor and enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and always sharing a joke.
Davis met the love of his life, Doris Basquez. They married Aug. 6, 1955 in Wetumka.
Davis was preceded in death by both parents, his brother, Thomas Davis; sisters: Flossie Lane, Florence Troxell, Lorene May, Pat Ardizzone, Floreta Harrison and Lucia Spray.
He is survived by his wife; sons Rick and wife Deborah Davis, Beggs, Okla.; Steve Davis, Jenks, a daughter, Rebecca Davis of Tulsa; a brother, John Paul Davis and wife Pearl of Hinton, Okla. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Justin Davis, Chad Davis, Lewis Bishop, Billy Evans, Tipton Evans, Matthew Randolph, and Matt Pfeifer.
DAVIS - Donald Wayne, age 61, Tulsa, OK, passed away on August 5, 2001. He was born May 7, 1940 in Oilton, OK to Otto and Lorene Davis. He married Jo Nell Duke on September 29, 1968, at Jenks, OK. He was a Machine Shop Manager for Green Metal Fab, a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. Survivors include: his wife, Jo Nell of the home; 1 son, Neil and wife, Annette of Tulsa; his mother, Lorene Davis of Glenco; 1 brother, James of Glenco; father-in-law, L. D. Duke of Jenks; brother-in-law, L. D. Duke, Jr.; and 3 grandchildren, Jesse, Darla and Ashley; and numerous friends. Service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, at floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services for Edgar "Glenn" Davis, 75, of Glenpool were held Monday, Aug. 4 at the Glenwood Assembly of God Church, Sapulpa.
Mr. Davis died Friday, Aug. 1.
Born April 3, 1928 in Scranton, Ark., the son of George Barry Davis and Laura Elwanda Brown, Mr. Davis was a member of the Glenwood Assmebly of God Church and was a retired brick mason for the Jenks Public School system. In his spare time he enjoyed picking pecans and gardening.
He and Jane Beeler were married Dec. 17, 1946 in Tulare, Calif. He is survived by his wife, of the home, three sons, Larry Davis and wife Marilyn of Colorado Springs, Colo., Scott Davis and wife Debby of Thermopolis, Calif., and Todd Davis of Glenpool; one sister, Lorene Cress of Broken Arrow, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Roger Davis, three brothers and three sisters.

DAVIS -- Joan Aline, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 7, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with recurring breast cancer. She was born June 19, 1942 in Pryor, OK to Emil and Florene Colburn. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1960 and then attended college. On July 29, 1965, she married Jack Duane Davis of Tulsa. Together they were the second generation owners of Accent Moving & Storage and Agent for Mayflower Transit (1974-1999). She served as the Vice-President and the company bookkeeper. Joan loved her husband Jack, her children, grandchildren and her friends and family. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and playing golf. She volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels. She was very active in her church, New Spring Assembly of God. She served as Women's Ministry President, volunteering to visit nursing homes and shut-ins. She ministered to many by utilizing her gift of music to bring glory to her Lord and Savior. She cherished her Women's Bible studies and prayer groups. Her life was a true testimony of her faith and she shared it with others. She was preceded in death by her father, Emil Colburn. She is survived by: her husband, Jack Davis of Broken Arrow; her 3 children, Jody Davis-Bergman of Broken Arrow, Chip Davis of Watertown, SD; June Anne Wakley of Broken Arrow; her mother, Florine Colburn of Wagoner; her brother, Sam Colburn of Broken Arrow; her sisters, June Gray of Wagoner and Rosa Bennett of Tulsa. She has 7 grandchildren whom she adored. They were the shining stars in her life. She made sure each one knew how important they were to her, not only by words but by her actions. She was not only a faithful servant of God, but also to her family. She was the family organizer, peacemaker and beloved confidant. Every day of her life she portrayed the Fruits of the Spirit. Not only did she instill the practical values of life, but more importantly she taught her children the need for a strong spiritual life. In her gentle quiet way she was a living testimony of a Christian wife, mother, daughter, grammie, sister and friend. She exemplified the greatest commandment of Christ, which is to love God with all your heart and to love others as yourself. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at the New Spring Assembly of God Church (located at 1233 W. 96th in Jenks), under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Glenn Davis, 54, was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Tulare, Calif. He died on Dec. 21, 2000.
Mr. Davis moved to Jenks in 1951 and graduated from Jenks High School in 1965. Following graduation, he went to Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachi, Texas, where he met his wife Linda.
In 1967 they married and went to the Navajo Indian Reservation to be missionaries.
In 1975 they left family and all that was familiar to pastor in Nome, Alaska.
In 1978, along with their two children, the couple moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where Mr. Davis became senior pastor of Graehl Assembly of God for 22 years.
Surviving him are his wife Linda of Fairbanks; daughter Melinda and husband Todd Spink of San Antonio, Texas; son Jeremy and wife Charee of Fairbanks; parents Glenn and Jane (Beeler) Davis of Glenpool, Okla.; brothers, Larry of Cave Junction, Ore., Scott of Thermopolis, Wyo.; Todd of Jenks, Okla.; and one sister, Dianne Soper of Fairbanks.
Also, grandchildren Chesney, Lindsey, Breanna and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Zelma Gertrude Davis, 87, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, Broken Arrow. Rev. Randy Wilson officiated.

Mrs. Davis was born Aug 4, 1916 at Scranton, Ark., the daughter of Albert F. and Lily Tygart Bennett. She passed away Friday, Feb 6, 2004 in Glenpool.
A homemaker, Mrs. Davis moved to this area in 1955 and had resided in Tulsa since 1976. She was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church since 1979. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Boyer Davis, in 1974.
She is survived by three sons, David G. Davis of Pensacola, Fla.; Donald L. Davis, of Tucson, Ariz. and Daniel R. Davis of Jenks; also two daughters, Carolyn Sue Brown of Catoosa and Renetta G. Zanco of Lothlin, MD.; as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

DECKER -- Donald E., passed away on March 19, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Danna; daughter and son-in-law, D'Ann and Ken Hargrove; daughter and son-in-law Dr. Darci and Dr. Joe Coffman; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Junior Reeves; grandsons, Hank and Wyatt Hargrove and Samuel Coffman; niece and her husband, Pat and Greg Walke; and grandnephew, Adam Walke. Born in Lindsay, OK, Decker graduated from Lindsay High School at age 16. He then attended OSU earning a degree in Business Administration. He began his educational career at Bixby Public Schools where he taught typewriting, accounting and law. In 1967 he joined Jenks Public Schools as a Distributive Education teacher. After earning a Master's degree in School Administration and a Doctorate of Education from OSU, Decker served Jenks Schools as an Assistant Superintendent in charge of finance until his retirement in 1999. Dr. Decker was also an Adjunct Professor for both TU and OSU for 10 years. He was formerly Vice-President of National Association of Distributive Education Teachers and President of Oklahoma Vocational Teachers. Dr. Decker has been an active member and Deacon of First Baptist Church, Bixby and an avid basketball player, recently competing in the Senior Olympics in San Antonio and Orlando. The family will greet visitors at Leonard and Marker Funeral Home of Bixby, 151st St. and Sheridan, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 21. JENKS -- Donald E. Decker, a retired Jenks Public Schools assistant superintendent, died Wednesday.
His family will visit with friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Leonard & Marker Funeral Home in Bixby, and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Bixby.
Decker was born in Lindsay to Hazel Beatrice (Green) and B. V. Decker.
He graduated from Lindsay High School in 1952 and then earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University.
Decker began his education career in 1955 by teaching typing, accounting and law at Bixby Public Schools.
He joined the Jenks Public Schools faculty in 1967.
Decker later earned a master's degree in school administration and a doctorate of education from OSU and was named assistant superintendent for Jenks.
While at Jenks, Decker organized the district's community education program; helped set up the district's self-funded insurance plan, workers compensation and sick leave liability fund; and was monumental in helping start the district's television studio.
Decker had been chairman of the Jenks committee to introduce computers in the classroom and a member of the Oklahoma State Textbook Commission.
He also was a former vice president of the National Association of Distributive Education Teachers and a president of Oklahoma Vocational Teachers.
He also was an adjunct professor for the University of Tulsa and OSU.
He retired from Jenks on April 1, 1999.
Decker was a deacon at the First Baptist Church and participated with the Gray Ghosts in the national Senior Olympics.
He is survived by his wife, Danna Decker, two daughters, D'Ann Hargrove of Jenks and Darci Coffman of Tulsa; a sister, Wanda Reeves of Lindsay; and three grandsons.
Friends are making memorial contributions to First Baptist Church's Bixby Early Education Program and the American Diabetes Association.

Decker was born in Lindsay, Okla., to B.V. and Hazel Beatrice (Green) Decker. He died March 19, 2003 in Tulsa.
He graduated from Lindsay High School in 1952 at the age of 16. He attended Oklahoma State University earning a degree in Business Administration. He began his educational career at Bixby Public Schools teaching typewriting, accounting and law.
In 1967, he joined Jenks Public Schools as a Distributive Education teacher. After earning a Master's degree in School Administration and a Doctorate of Education from OSU, Decker served Jenks Schools as an assistant superintendent in charge of finance until his retirement in 1999.

He was formerly Vice-President of the National Association of Distributive Education Teachers and President of Oklahoma Vocational Teachers. He was an active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church, Bixby and an avid basketball player, recently competing in the Senior Olympics in San Antonio and Orlando.
He is survived by his wife, Danna Beth (Thomas) Decker, whom he married on June 25, 1955 in Lindsay, as well as by two daughters and sons-in-law: D'Ann and Ken Hargrove of Jenks and Dr. Darci and Dr. Joe Coffman of Tulsa, one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Junior Reeves of Lindsay and three grandsons.

Services for Fronie Denham, 73, were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the Jenks Regular Baptist Church. Interment followed at the Bixby City Cemetery under the direction of Ninde Funeral Directors, Jenks Chapel.
Mrs. Denham was born in Watkins, Okla., on January 14, 1927 to Walter and Albie Smith. She was a homemaker and passed away at her home Sunday morning, Nov. 19, 2000.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Willie Denham who passed away in 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Alice Spurgeon of Kelleyville, Okla.,; a son, Donald Denham of Glenpool, Okla.; a sister, Louise Wefer of Kelleyville, Okla.; aa brother, Gene Smith of Morris, Okla.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

DIBERT -- William Hughes, born July 16, 1926, to Harry and Carrie Dibert in Johnstown, PA. Her went home to be with the Lord March 11, 2002, after complications from a stroke. He served his country in Italy during World War II. Following his military discharge, he answered God's call to the ministry in 1958. He graduated from Grand Canyon Collge in Phoenix, AZ in 1963 and went on to pastor churches in Arizona and California for 25 years. His greatest love was telling others about Jesus and His love. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Jenks, since moving to Oklahoma in 2001. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Dibert of Tulsa, and Charles Dibert of Houston, TX; son, Bryan Dibert of Sacramento, CA. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary of the home; sons, Harry of Omaha, NE, and Joseph of Sacramento, CA; daughters, Susan Carpenter of Jenks, and Ruth Elliott of Fair Oaks, CA; daughter-in-law, Kristine Dibert of Sacramento, CA; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Mitchell E. "Mitch" Dittus, executive director of Tulsa's Street School, died Thursday. He was 50.
A visitation is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home, and a memorial service is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Dittus was born Feb. 7, 1953, in Loveland, Colo. He graduated from Tulsa's Hale High School in 1971 and from Oklahoma State University in 1975.
He received a master's degree from OSU in 1978.
After college, Dittus worked at Family Junction and Youth and Family Services.
He took a job at Street School, an alternative school for at-risk youth, in 1982. He became the school's director in 1995.
Street School received a variety of awards during Dittus' tenure, and he and his predecessor, Rick Palazzo, won the Janis Updike Walker Award from the Oklahoma Alternative Education Association in 1998.
In 1996, Dittus was awarded the Special Issues Award from Oklahoma Youth Services.
Her served as president of the United Way Executive Directors Association and was the Oklahoma Youth Services First Time Offender committee chairman and a founding member of the Oklahoma Alternative Education Association.
Dittus was a Jenks Recreational Athletics soccer and baseball coach.
He coached all three of his children.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette Dittus; two sons, Bryant Dittus and Daniel Dittus, both of Tulsa; a daughter, Julia Dittus of Tulsa; his parents, Jim and Dottie Dittus of Tulsa; two brothers, Tom Dittus and Jim Dittus, both of Tulsa; and a sister, Julie Forrester of Arlington, Texas.

DITTUS -- Mitchell E., after a long and courageous battle with cancer passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 20, 2003 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 7, 1953 in Loveland, CO. He attended Tulsa public schools, graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1971. He received his undergraduate degree from OSU in 1975 and his Master's degree in Corrections in 1978. After working for Family Junction and Youth and Family Services in Moore, OK, Mitch jointed Tulsa Street School in 1982, becoming Executive Director in 1995. He had received several individual awards as well as being responsible for many awards Street School received under his leadership. Mitch touched the lives of thousands of youth across the state through his work in alternative education. As a coaching Dad, he inspired greatness both on and off the field. It is a tragic loss, not only to his family, but the entire community for he was loved by all. Born Jan. 6, 1912 at Peggs, Okla., he was the son of James A. Dobbs and LIzzie Jennings Dobbs. He died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at Jenks.
Claude was a retired farmer and carpenter living most of his life in the Jenks area. He was a member of Oak Grove Regular Baptist Church and most recently attended the Jenks Regular Baptist Church.
He and Bonnie Thomas were married Nov. 29, 1933 at Okmulgee, Okla. She preceded him in death on July 25, 1994.
Claude is survived by one son, Robert and wife Beverly of Depew, Okla.; one daughter, Ann Cagle and husband Will of Jenks; one sister, Maudie Spradlin of Peggs, Okla., four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were his grandsons and nephews, Bobby Dobbs, Patrick Rutland, Junior Cooper, Allen McKendry, Steven Hale and Fred L. Dobbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Fred, Jack, Carl, Clarence, Walter and Clyde and two sisters, Lucy and Myrtle.

Eugene Ralph Dobbs was born Nov. 5, 1919 in Maroa, Ill. to Floyd Ralph and Callia Mae (Evans) Dobbs. He died March 26, 2003 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore. He was 83.

Leonila Dodd passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003.
The services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at the Glenpool Church of Christ. Ministers officiating will be the Rev. Bill Hamrick and the Rev. Sidney Ellis.
Serving as casketbearers will be Ken Dykes, Bob Simmons, Larry Dodd, Jim Pinkston, Sonny Pulliam and Monte Tiger.
Leonila was born March 15, 1936 in Nacaome, Honduras. Her parents were Martin and Paula Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Dodd and stepson Donnie Dodd.
She is survived by: her brother, Jose Luiz Ortiz; her three children, Maria Teresa Johnson, Froylan Turcios and Lillia Rothell; a son-in-law, Bruce Rothell; and four stepchildren, Gerald Dodd, Larry Dodd, Jean Turner and Linda Anderson.
She has six grandchildren: William Lanza, Tammy Rothell, Tiffany Rothell, April Rothell, Sheena Turcios and Antonio Turcios; and two great-grandchildren, Antonio Lanza and Elizabeth Lanza.
She lived her early life in Honduras, where she raised her children, then she moved to the United States in 1969. She lived with her husband in Sapulpa, Okla. until 1990, when her husband passed away. She then moved to Glenpool to live with her children.
She was a seamstress and a homemaker and a devoted mother to all of her children and grandchildren. Always ready and anxious to serve, she was never too tired to cook and do laundry.
She was baptized in 1974 and was a devoted Christian throughout the remainder of her life. She never failed to greet others with a hug and a smile. She was lovingly devoted to God and the body of Christ.
She remained active, even though the last few years were spent in a nursing home. She could often be seen folding laundry or pushing other residents in wheelchairs to the cafeteria for meals and activities.
DODDS -- Danisa Jay, the infant daughter of Dacia Dodds of Glenpool, was born and died on December 1, 2002 in Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her parents and her brothers and sisters, Darrlle, Daisha and Darren. To my daughter Danisa, the joys I felt of your kicks, hiccups and choosing a name for you, will lovingly be missed. I am sorry that you could not be here to share the love and warmth of your soon to be family, as we waited patiently upon your arrival. Life has failed you and me. You will always be a part of me as the days go by. Unfortunately I will have to let you go, one day soon, but God will be there to pick you up and take care of you. Today I will say my goodbye to you with these tears that fall from my face and see you soon, one day in that special place. DONELSON -- Joe E., was born to James A. and Tessie Donelson on February 8, 1929 in Jenks, OK and passed in the presence of the Lord on September 5, 2004 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 75. Joe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jerry of the home; son, Joe Jr. and wife, Hazel of Bixby; Janis Mead and husband, Bobby of Hodgen, OK and son, John of Bixby; Tammy Flickinger of Bixby and Karen Guinn of Liberty; sister, Marlene Wolverton of Houston, TX and Nina Anderson of Turley. Joe was blessed with 6 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and business associates. Joe was preceded in death by his mom, dad and brother, Jim. Joe was raised in Turley, OK, attended Cherokee Public School and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1947. Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1960. Joe was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Oklahoma, operating his own civil engineering business for over 40 years. Prior to Joe operating his own business he worked for the City of Tulsa Water and Sewer Department and Hammond Engineering Co. Joe served as Bixby's City Engineer and Chairman of the Bixby Planning Commission. Joe provided engineering for over 200 residential subdivisions in the greater Tulsa area, consisting of over 20,000 residential lots as well as numerous public school, church and commercial projects. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with friends and relatives and beating the casino's out of their money. Service, Wednesday, September 8, 2004, 10 a.m., Bixby Funeral Service Colonial Chapel. BIXBY -- Fred S. Doring, 71, retired civil service employee, died Tuesday. Service 10 a.m. Saturday, Bixby Funeral Service Chapel.
CHARLOTTE GROVE -- Charlotte Dorrough Grove, 87, died Aug. 11 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
The long-time Jenks resident was a retired school teacher, had been director of the Senior Citizens and had been very active in Jenks.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Garden of Apostles, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with Rev. Harold Phillips officiating.
Grove was born May 26, 1913, in Cullman, Alabama, to Charles William Dorrough and Mattie Lou Halbrook Dorrough.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph H. Grove and son George E. Grove.
She is survived by: three daughters: Susan Davis, Ruth Canard and JoAnn Kuske; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Carol Lehman was soloist and organist for the funeral performing "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer." Other music included "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace."
GLENPOOL -- Surendra Manilal Doshi, 62, Sagebrush Pipeline mechanical engineer, died July 31 (in Scarborough, Tobago). Service 9 a.m. Monday, Schaudt's Funeral Home Chapel.

DOSHI, Surendra -- Surendra "Suru" Manilal Doshi, 62, of Glenpool, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006.
He was born Nov. 6, 1943 in Ahmedabad, India.
Services were held at 9 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006 at Schuadt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel.
Arrangements were entrusted to Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service and Cremation Care.
Graveside rites were held for Tammy Louise Dougherty October 19 at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Rev. Don McGonigal officiated.
Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. T. Dougherty, a sister Kelly of the home, Grandmother Mrs. Nora Stuck and grandfather Chas. Dougherty of Wyoming.

Mrs. Mary Florence Doyle, 84, the mother of John (Stormy) Doyle of Jenks, died Monday in a Broken Arrow nursing home. A native of Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, Mrs. Doyle resided in Bixby since 1909.
Services were held Wednesday, January 25 at 2 p.m. in Bixby First Baptist Church of which she was a member. Interment was in the Bixby Cemetery under direction of the Leonard Funeral Home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dixie Davis of Tulsa and Mrs. Blanche Richardson of Kellyville; three other sons, B. E. of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Lee of Pasadena, Texas, and Lon of Grand Junction, Colorado; two sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DRISCOLL, John -- John Edward Driscoll, 65, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
He was born in Bixby Aug. 29, 1939.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool. The Rev. Brett Allen of First Baptist Church will officiate.

DUCKERT -- Robert Carl (Bob), 78, was born January 16, 1924 at Sapulpa, OK, the son of Edward H. and Cora Duckert, who preceded him in death. He died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at the Claremore Veterans Center. He attended Sapulpa Public Schools all 12 years and graduated in 1942, where he excelled in high school athletics. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1942, served in the South Pacific and was discharged in January, 1946. Bob joined the Sapulpa City Police Department soon after returning from service. He continued to work as a Sapulpa Officer until July, 1950, when he joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. His first assignment was Jay, OK, later moving into Tulsa District 9, where he proudly served until he resigned in January, 1959 to join Sherrif Dave Faulkner's staff at Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Bob worked through the ranks, retiring in 1986 as Chief Criminal Deputy. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Edward and Douglas Duckert and 2 infant daughters from a previous marriage. He is survived by: his loving wife of 43 years Helen (Engle) Duckert of the home in Jenks; a son, Robert M. (Bobby) of Tulsa; and a daughter Pamela of Lawrenceville, GA; 1 sister, Barbara Contardi of Stillwater; 1 brother, Kenneth Duckert of Sapulpa; 3 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. H. B. (Doc) Dunn, 83, a retired oilfield worker, died at his home here Monday night after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday) in the Jenks Baptist church.
Mr. Dunn came to Oklahoma from Farmersville, Ky., around the turn of the century and had lived in Jenks since 1910. He was an oilfield contractor before retiring several years ago. His contract business involved plugging of oil wells, a trade he followed in a number of Oklahoma fields.
Mr. Dunn was a member of the First Baptist church and had been a member of the Jenks Odd Fellows Lodge for 40 years. He was also a Rebekah lodge member.
Survivors include a son, J. W. Dunn, Hugo; six daughters, Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Tecumseh; Miss Effie Dunn, Jenks; Mrs. Zell Brewer, Shawnee; Mrs. Sadie Harvey, Claremore; Mrs. Evelyn Brady, Tulsa, and Mrs. Floretta Idor, San Antonio, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. Clevie Johnson, Colony.
Interment was in Park Grove cemetery at Broken Arrow with Hendricks funeral home in charge of arrangements.
