GAMMON -- Lewis Edward, died Monday, November 15, 2004 at his home. Mr. Gammon was born in Bixby, OK, the son of Lloyd and Florence (Savage) Gammon. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the 13th Armored Division. He was Vice President of the International Division of the First National Bank of Tulsa. He retired in 1981 after 35 years with the Bank. After his retirement he was a Volunteer Driver for the American Cancer Socity and volunteered help with tax returns. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, being a member of the Red Fork Masonic Lodge and the Tulsa Scottish Rite Consistory. Survivors: wife, Dockie Lee (Stevens) Gammon; son, Donald R. Gammon and his wife, Bonnie of Danville, CA; grandchildren, Erin A. Gammon and Morgan L. Gammon. A private family service will be held. GANGAS -- Jacklyn Lynn Ross, 41, of Bixby, OK, was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2001. Born May 24, 1960 in San Antonio, TX. She was a loving wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed. She graduated from Midway High School, Waco, TX in 1979. Jacklyn was former owner of J.J.'s Golf Center in Tulsa, OK. She was one of the original flight attendants for Southwest Airlines. Currently volunteering at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Jacklyn will be remembered for her giving nature and sense of humor. She was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Ross of Waco, TX. She is survived by: her husband, Gregory Gangas; daughters, Jennifer Lynn Bloodworth and Amy Michelle Bloodworth; and son, Nickolas Ross Gangas, all of Tulsa, OK; her father, John Ross; 2 sisters, Kerrie Farrell and husband, Raymond, Robin Miller and husband, Larry; and nephew, Bradley Harrell, all of Waco, TX. Memorial services for Mrs. Anna Lee Garrett, 39, will be held Friday at 2 p.m., in the Bethel Baptist church in Anadarko, Okla. Mrs. Garrett died Tuesday morning in her home in Jenks.
Survivors include her husband Loyd; one daughter, Peggy; and one son, Dennis, all of the home; a brother, Marion Beets of Tulsa; a sister, Mrs. Margie Desee of Palm Beach, Fla.; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Beets of Tulsa.
Mrs. Garrett was born and reared in Anadarko and came to Jenks with her family four years ago. Respects may be offered at the Ninde Colonial Funeral Home through Thursday evening.
A pioneer of Broken Arrow, Mrs. Florence Bradshaw Garrett, 81, died in a Jenks nursing home.
Born in Deepwater, Mo., she came to Broken Arrow as an infant. She married Noel Garrett in 1923 and continued to live in the Tulsa area. She attended the Christian church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Grace Keener of Broken Arrow, and two brothers, Merle Bradshaw of Strang and Roy Bradshaw of Tulsa.
Services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Memorial Park, with interment there under direction of the Marlin Funeral home.
ROBERT L. GARRETT, 73, died March 25 in Doctors Medical Center in Tulsa. Funeral services were in Jenks First Baptist church, Saturday March 28. Burial was in Memorial Park under the direction of Riverside Funeral Home.
Garrett was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Jenks Methodist church and IOOF Lodge, and had lived in Jenks since 1930.
Survivors are his widow, Nona, of the home; two sons, Donald of Houston and Roland of Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Howard of Bixby; 11 grandchildren; and one brother, Earnest Garrett of Bixby.
Services for Pamela M. Gates, nine-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Gates of Jenks, were conducted Wednesday in St. Andrew's Episcopal church in Broken Arrow. The youngster died Sunday in a Tulsa hospital of complications of diabetes.
She was a fourth grade student at the Jenks elementary school and was active in her first year in the 4-H club. April 12 she took first place for her age group in the Tulsa county 4-H sewing contest at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds.
She is survived by her parents; a brother Charles of the home; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hamilton of Cherryvale, Kan., and Mrs. Rosa Gates of Tulsa; and a great-grandmother, Mr. H. J. Rau of Perry.
Interment was in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kennard Funeral Services.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the First Methodist church for Mrs. Arminta A. Gates, 78, who died Saturday in a Tulsa hospital. Interment was in Park Grove Cemetery, Broken Arrow.
Mrs. Gates was the mother of W. E. Gates of Jenks.
She was a native of Caddo.

GEER, Richard L. (Dick), passed from this world March 14, 2005, at his home in Leonard, OK. Dick was born May 6, 1937, in Aberdeen, WA. Dick worked for the Bechtel Corporation for 25 years. Dick is survived by his wife, Bonnie; father , Albert Geer of Aberdeen, WA; 3 brothers, Albert Jr., Larry and Billy; 1 sister, Linda Hoyer; 2 daughters Sherri Rice and Valri Geer, both of Tuscon, AZ; 2 stepchildren, Michael Guthrie of Corona, CA, and Sherrie Guthrie of Tulsa. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many family friends. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to "Bixby Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund" or the "Muskogee Country Cattlemen's Scholarship Fund." An Open House to honor Dick's life will be hosted in the family home Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass was held March 29, 2003 at Holy Family Cathedral for Betty Joyce Geiger. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Nick Reynolds Funeral Service.
Betty Joyce Geiger was born July 31, 1030 to Morris and Addie Smith. She died March 26, 2003. She was 72.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Gregory Geiger.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lloyd Wellen Geiger; children Teresa and Tim Murphy of St. Louis; Cynthia and Rick Jones of Ramona; Becky and Ron Shirley of Stillwater, Brenda and Stan Hale of Mannford; Susan Geiger of Bartlesville; Julia and Bruce White of Glenpool; Sharon and Mark Longaberger of Catoose; Karen and Bob Vinson of Ramona; Michael and Diane Geiger of Ramona; and Steven and Jody Geiger of Jenks; sisters Carol Show of Texas and Marie Horton of Tulsa; 32 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. George died in Phoenix on Nov. 27, 2002.
She was born Sept. 30, 1916 in Jenks to Jack and Dora Belle Wasson.
Survivors include her four children Donna Lewis, Saundra Campbell, Darrell George and Bonnie L. George, Jr., all of Phoenix along with 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, her "other kid" Mildred Melson and numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald and Eugene and her husbands Bonnie L. George Sr. and R. Lee Doyle.
Funeral services for Fred R. George, 78, 707 West Main, were held 10 a.m. in the First Methodist church. Rev. C. E. Mcdonald and Rev. H. Hyden officiated.
The longtime Jenks resident died in a Tulsa hospital Friday of an apparent heart attack. Burial was in Bixby Cemetery under the direction of Riverside Funeral Home.
George retired from Sinclair Oil Co. in 1958. He and his wife, Lela, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1961, before her death in 1963.
He was a member of the Jenks Pioneer club and the Methodist church. Survivors include a son, Bennie; two daughters, Blanche Parker of Jenks and Mrs. Lorene Griffith, Maryville, Kan.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

GIBSON -- Donna Sue Cochran, owner of Commercial Tarp & Awning, passed away February 9, 2003. She was born January 30, 1938 to Irene and Amos Cochran. She is survived by her husband, Bill Gibson; son Mark Stunkard; daughter, Sue Forman; 3 grandchildren, Danny, Jake and Lisa Stunkard; mother, Irene Cochran; sister Rhonda Cochran Cline and husband, Steven; 2 nephews, William and Eric Cochran Cline; aunt, Betty Caskey; and many cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded by her father, Amos Cochran; a husband, Herb Church; and a grandchild, David Forman. Donna was an Eastern Star member and graduated from Will Rogers in 1955. She entered nursing school at Hillcrest but had to discontinue that due to a horse accident at Pawhuska Cavalcade so she started a career with Sinclair and Shell Oil Co. but horses were never forgotten. She taught riding, breaking horses and was a judge of Palominos in and out of the state. She was a member of the Quarter Horse Assn. and the Oklahoma Racing Assn. Her horses raced at Fair Meadows, Remington, Sallisaw, Will Rogers Downs and many other parks. GILL -- Elaine (Bohannan), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on August 23, 2004 at the age of 87. Born July 20, 1917 to parents Lewis Jack and Floe Louise Bohannan in Stilwell, OK. Married May 23, 1936 for 64 years to her husband, Homer Gill, Jr. Her husband, parents and eldest son, Homer III predeceased her. Graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1935, Northeastern State University with a degree in Education in 1955 and Master's in Teaching in 1967. Obtained a Master's in Arts from the University of Tulsa in 1976. After her children were in school she taught English, Speech, Drama, and Debate in Durham, KS and first grade in Bixby. In 1964 she became a Librarian in the Tulsa Public Schools and completed her public school teaching career as a Reading Specialist and Learning Diagnostician in Tulsa Public Schools. After retiring in 1982, she became an adjunct professor of Elementary Education at the University Center of Tulsa (Langston). She conducted many workshops and published articles related to educational instruction. She and her husband were avid bridge players and devoted Methodists, long-time members of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. She also was an active member of many education organizations, including Kappa Kappa Iota. In her retirement she was a very active volunteer at Hillcrest Medical Center, the Baird Foundation reading/tutoring program and as an Ambassador for Woodland Hills Retirement Center. She is survived by her 5 children (the 5 J's), Joyce (Marvin) Hamm of Wells, KS, Jerry Ann (Jerry) Shimp of Bixby, Jim (Mary Lou) Gill of Broken Arrow, Joe (Ann) Gill of Bixby, and Jayne (Ray) Bowen of Bixby; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Geraldine Molander of Tulsa and Ann Peterson of Corvallis, OR also survive her. Marilyn Louise Gilliam
A funeral service for Marilyn Louise Gilliam will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at the Bixby First United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, with the Rev. Jessica Moffatt officiating. Marilyn Louise Gilliam was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in Pomona, Kan. to Leonard Lewis and Fannie (Jessee) Jones. She died on Dec. 26, 2004, at her home in Glenpool. She was 70. She was a musician who played the trumpet, organ and piano. She worked many years as a bank teller before retiring from Nations Bank. Hobbies included baking, quilting, and sewing. She was a member of the Bixby First United Methodist Church and a member of the church quilting club.
She is survived by her loving husband, J.O. "Jake" Gilliam, whom she married on August 19, 1978; sons Tim Spielman, Alan Spielman and his wife Rebekah Kennedy, Matthew Spielman and his wife Julie, and Bernard Spielman and his wife Kimberly; sisters Irene Moore, Elva Donovan, Nadine Patterson, and Evelyn Baker, seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Emma Irene Givens, 82, a resident of Jenks since 1907, died Sept. 20 in a Tulsa hospital. Funeral services were held Sept. 22 in the First Christian church. Interment was in Bixby.
Mrs. Givens was born in Wabseka, Arkansas, in 1877 and moved to Coweta before statehood.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edna Harley and Mrs. Bess Ward, both of Jenks, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She married Arthur Joseph Blanz II on May 24, 1938. He preceded her in death in November 1965.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Arthur Joseph Glanz III.
She was a retired schoolteacher.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Snedden of Grand Lake, Okla., Kay Smith and Josanna Moore, both of Broken Arrow, Dinah Glanz of Jacksonville, Fla., Dayna Glanz of Columbia, Mo.; a son, Jeffrey McKinnis Glanz of Broken Arrow; a sister, Bobbye Coleman of Dallas, Texas; brothers Fayne McKinnis of Kerrville, Texas, and Arnie "Hunk" McKinnis of Kingfisher; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

GLASS -- Betty Joann (Williford), born March 28, 1934, died April 23, 2004, at her home in Jenks, OK. She was 70 years old. Betty was born in Oklahoma City, and was a long time resident of Jenks, OK. She was a member of NewSpring Assembly of God Church in Jenks. She is survived by 3 daughters, Vickie Addison of Denham Springs, LA, Katie Tankersley of Broken Arrow, OK and Kim Thompson of Jenks, OK. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Matt, Lacey, Nathan, Natalie and Philip. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Eli. Two sisters-in-law of J.C. Gober died last week.
Mrs. May Gober, wife of Norton Gober, died Tuesday morning. She was a resident of Owasso. She had been hospitalized previously. Mrs. Gober is survived by her husband, a son, and a daughter.
Mrs. Rosie May Gober died last Monday and was interred Wednesday at Bixby Cemetery. She was a resident of Oklahoma City. She is survived by her husband, D. E. Gober, and two daughters.
Roy Morton Gober died of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Glenpool Saturday night, May 2. Gober was 24.
He was employed by Tulsa Plywood Company and was a member of the Assembly of God church of Owasso.
Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home (1104 North Allegheny), 2 daughters, Orvella Sue and Deborah Lynn, and one son, Richard Leon, all of the home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Gober, northeast of Tulsa, one brother, Dale, Tulsa, and one sister, Delpha Beavers of Hutchison, Kansas.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hendricks Funeral Home, Jenks.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Owasso Assembly of God church. Burial in Memorial Park cemetery, Tulsa.
Harm T. Goff, father of Mrs. Opal Beeler, died Saturday, January 20 following a long illness. A long-time resident of Stigler, Mr. Goff celebrated his 92nd birthday last January 1st.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at the chapel at Garland Cemetery near Stigler by Brother McCamey of the Assembly of God.
Mrs. Beeler left Jenks Sunday for Stigler but other relatives, including Leamon and Tilmon Beeler of Jenks and Lavern Beeler of Tulsa, grandsons who acted as pall bearers and Mrs. Paul Bradley, a granddaughter, went to Stigler Monday morning.
Other survivors are four sons, Odrey, Wesley and Othel Goff of Stigler and R. V. of Mingo; two daughters besides Mrs. Beeler, Mrs. Mary Barnes of Stigler and Mrs. Oshie Long of Tulsa; 35 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

GOODMAN -- Wyndal Martin, 49, formerly of Fort Smith, the beloved son of Dr. R.C. and Dorothy Goodman, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born February 18, 1954 in McKinney, TX. Wyndal grew up in Fort Smith and graduated from Northside High School in 1972. He attended the University of Arkansas, graduating with a B.S. degree in Geology and a Master's degree in Hydrology. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen of the home in Bixby, OK; a daughter, Mellisa and her husband, Jason Conrad; and a granddaughter, Callie Kaitlyn. JENKS MAN DIES IN IOWA BICYCLE RIDE

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP)
-- An Oklahoma man who was participating in the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa died Monday after suffering a heart attack.
Larry Grable, 53, of Jenks collapsed about 9:30 a.m. near the town of Cherokee in northwest Iowa.
He was about eight miles into Monday's leg of the ride when he collapsed, said Bryan Woods, RAGBRAI's medical coordinator.
RAGBRAI, which attracted about 10,000 bicyclists, started Sunday in Sioux Center (City) in northwest Iowa and ends Saturday in Bellevue on the Mississippi River.
Grable was a Cain's Coffee account representative and a former UPS driver and union steward.
He was a statistician for the Jenks football team and had ridden on several FreeWheel bicycle tours across Oklahoma.
A celebration of life service will be held for Grable at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Central Church of the Nazarene in Tulsa.
Funeral services for Edward Reeland Gragg, 66, of 312 East C Street were held Tuesday at First Baptist church of Jenks. Burial was in Park Grove Cemetery of Broken Arrow.
Gragg died June 20 after several years of illness. He was born in Vian, Okla., but had lived in Jenks for many years, and raised his family here. He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Rhoda Emiline Gragg of the home; three daughters, Janet Sue Gragg of the home, Mrs. Louise Collins of Skiatook, and Mrs. JoAnn Nance of Fresno, Calif.; three sons, Kenneth and Henry Gragg both of Tulsa, and Benny Gragg of Marshall, Ark.; two brothers, Olen and Levi Gragg of Peoria, Ariz., 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Greene died on Saturday, Oct. 27 in a house fire.
He was born Feb. 28, 1964 in Tulsa, the son of Larry Robert and Reta Kay Anglin Greene. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1982 and had attended vo-tech school where he learned drafting. He was currently working for Arby's in Jenks.
He is survived by his parents of Jenks; two sisters, Susie Weaver of Osage and Kelli Fritz of Tulsa; one brother, Roger Green of Broken Arrow; two nephews and one neice.

Born November 10, 1937, the son of Albert Jerome and Alta Leigh Dobbins Gregory, Gregory was a truck-driver and Ford parts man.
He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home in Jenks; three daughters, Kathy Hayes and Jaquita Lilich, both of Sapulpa and Marketta Gregory of Rochester, New York; three sisters, Freida Judd, Barbara Steele, both of Tulsa, and Caroly Rotert of Jenks; one brother, Charlie Gregory of Tulsa and four grandchildren.
Preceding Gregory in death were his parents.
Foster Lloyd Gregory, 81, member of the Creek Indian nation, died Tuesday. His home was at 6310 West 61st St., Tulsa.
He was chairman of deacons of Indian Fellowship Baptist Church, Oakhurst.
Survivors include the widow Bessie of the home; three sons, Lamar Gregory of Midwest City, Nelson Gregory of Del City and Dee Gregory of Chilloco; a stepson, Bill Brown of Oakhurst; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

GRIFFIN -- Raymond, 73, of Jenks, passed away at his residence on Monday, October 14, 2002. He was born in Siloam Springs, AR on September 6, 1929 to Tom B. and Mary Lou (Roberts) Griffin. On November 5, 1948, he married Patricia Pearce in Tulsa. Raymond was an Assembly Mechanic for McDonnell-Douglas for 34 years and was a longtime member of Woodlake Assembly of God in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Mrs. Griffith was born March 20, 1929 in Bristow, Okla., to Archie and Sophia Marie (Tabor) Williamson. She died Wednesday, January 31 in Tulsa.
She moved to Jenks as a small child then later to Glenpool with her family during the oil boom. She often remembered her days of picking cotton as a child.
Mrs. Griffith's working years were spent as the Vice-President of M.D. Tooling and as the owner of Dot's Alterations. She was a long-time member of the First Grace Church in Glenpool and was also active in the Tulsa American Legion Auxiliary.
Known as "Grandma," Mrs. Griffith's pastimes included dancing, enjoying children, gardening, watching birds, sewing and crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and singing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earl Griffith, on November 18, 1993; a brother, Harry V. Williamson, and a half-brother, Willie Williamson.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis, and her husband, Michael Huse of Glenpool, and Kathy L. Griffith of Tulsa; a son, Doug, and his wife Lita Griffith of Glenpool; one granddaughter, Simi, and her husband Troy Berry of Glenpool; one great-granddaughter, Gentry Dawn Berry; a half-brother, Bob Williamson of Checotah, and friend and caretaker Clay P. Arnold.
Casket bearers included Robert Horner, Robert Kinnick, Steve Horner, Troy Berry, DeWayne Carter and Tracey Powell.

Griffith died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002.
Born to Howard and Karri Griffith on April 26, 1972, in Tulsa, Griffith attended Jenks High School and graduated from Ponca City High School.
Survivors includehis parents, two brothers, Mike and Andy.
Funeral services for Laura Jane (Lott) Griffith were held on Dec. 14 at Airview Assembly of God Church in Jenks with Rev. C.C. Combs officiating.
Graveside services were held at Hugh-David Lowe Cemetery in Scipio, with Rev. Bob Tate of McAlester officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home of Tulsa.
Mrs. Griffith was born Jan. 15, 1918 in Scipio to George Columbus (Lum) Lott and Naomi (Price) Lott. She died on Dec. 11 in her home at the age of 76.
She lived in Jenks for 21 years, as a homemaker and had a family day care center in her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grand-daughter and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: three daughters, Ruby Shelnutt of Kansas, Okla., Wilma Stephens of McAlester and Linda Griffith of Jenks; one son, Lloyd Dee Griffith of Farmington, New Mexico; two sisters, Lillie Bennett of Lubbock, Texas, Lois Tivis of Portales, New Mexico; three brothers, Theo Lott of Yreka, Calif., Fines Lott and Valter Lott both of Roswell, New Mexico and one sister-in-law Bonnie Lott of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

CHARLOTTE GROVE -- Charlotte Dorrough Grove, 87, died Aug. 11, 2000, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
The long-time Jenks resident was a retired school teacher, had been director of the Senior Citizens and had been very active in Jenks.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Garden of Apostles, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Okla., with Rev. Harold Phillips officiating.
Grove was born May 26, 1913, in Cullman, Alabama, to Charles William Dorrough and Mattie Lou Halbrook Dorrough.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph H. Grove and son George E. Grove.
She is survived by: three daughters: Susan Davis, Ruth Canard and JoAnn Kuske; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Carol Lehman was soloist and organist for the funeral performing "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer." Other music included "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace."
Services for Neil Edward Groves were Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa, under the direction of Ninde Funeral Directors.
Born September 20, 1931, in Virginia, Minn., to Frederick A. and Eva Ellen (Means) Groves, he died Saturday, Jan. 19. He was 70.
He was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later was the service manager of a B.F. Goodrich Tires store.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, daughters, Kathleen Cox of Sand Springs, Karen Guinn and Brenda Thompson of Broken Arrow; a son, Michael, of Owasso; and sisters, Beverly Morgensen, of Minnesota, and Beth McCubbin, of Colorado; and a brother, Bill Groves of California.

Police in Colorado found a former Bixby woman stabbed to death Saturday morning. Gina Gruenwald, 7, was found on the ground in a neighborhood where she did not live, a Denver Police Department press release states.
Gruenwald graduated from Bixby High School in 1995 and later moved to Denver. Detectives there were following up on leads, but no arrests had been made by Monday night, the press release states.

GUEVARA, Essie -- Essie Guevara, 85, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 in the Integris Baptist Medical Center. She was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Jenks.
A graveside service is at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 in South Heights Cemetery (Sapulpa) with the Rev. Bill Oldham officiating.
Interment will follow under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
GLENPOOL -- Joseph Santos "Joe" Guevara, 32, Rain Tech guttering installer, died June 20 in Oklahoma City. Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel.
Services for Elmo M. Guinn, 57, 4966 So. Cincinnati, were held in the First Baptist church in Jenks Tuesday afternoon. He was born in Graphic, Ark., and died May 10. Guinn had lived in the Jenks area 50 years, and had worked on truck farms south of Jenks.
In addition to his widow, Zona, he is survived by a daughter, Margaret Fulks of Jenks; granddaughter, Debbie Fulks, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Guinn; two brothers, Leo Guinn, Glenpool, J. W. Guinn of San Jose, Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Wall, Sapulpa, Mrs. Delores Sappington, Tulsa, Mrs. Maude Kelleher, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Magnoliz Goodwin, Los Gaton, Calif.
Burial was in Bixby.
"We join the many pioneer friends of the Guinn family in extending our sympathy in the recent death of Elmo Guinn. The children grew up here. The parents were Mrs. Sarah Guinn and the late Jake Guinn. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Guinn resided on the south River road for many years where they were well known for growing vegetables, especially tomatoes. They have a daughter, Margaret and granddaughter. The brothers are Leo, J. W., sisters, Magnolia Delores, Dorothy and Maude. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Guinn had moved to Tulsa a few months ago."

"Mrs. Lum Guldin, age 105, recently passed away and was buried in the cemetery we have known as the Rentie Cemetery. The Guldins live in the Rentie neighborhood which was from 81st and Harvard to 91st. A small village for many years with homes, schools, and two churches. The filling station building remains unused at 91st and Harvard which is a dead end street. Many of the colored pioneers of that area are buried in this cemetery."
