AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS CLAIM 3 IN OKLAHOMA
Section A, Page 7

At least three people were killed in traffic accidents this weekend, including a Jenks woman, officials said.

Known dead are:
CAROLYN HASBROUCK, 52, of Jenks.
DUSTIN LAWRENCE, 7, of Afton.
ROCKY DEMENT, 46, of Miami, Okla.

Hasbrouck was killed Sunday when the Chevrolet Metro she was a passenger in was struck at the intersection of Elwood Avenue and 71st Street, said Tulsa Police Capt. John Bowman.

The Metro was attempting to make a left turn onto Elwood Avenue when a Chevy S-10 pickup traveling eastbound hit the passenger's side door, Bowman said.

Hasbrouck was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:45 p.m. accident.

Her husband, Peter Hasbrouck, was taken to St. Francis Hospital. His injuries were apparently not life threatening, officials said.

The 19-year-old driver of the pickup had only minor injuries.

No one has been cited in the accident yet, Bowman said.

Lawrence and Dement were killed in a Saturday accident near Fairland that injured three others, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The 7-year-old was a passenger in a car that pulled into the path of Dement's pickup truck on Oklahoma 125, the patrol said. Two passengers in Dement's truck and the driver of the car were injured.

Seat belts were not in use, troopers said.
